What a find, what a delight, This small hotel has just served us up plates and plates of delight.
The food was outstanding and the chef is most certainly to be complemented upon his skill, thank you we had a fab meal.
We chose to eat in the bar, with it's cost friendly atmosphere. The staff looked after us perfectly and in polite cheerful manor, nothing was too much trouble for them. Although we did not stay at the hotel people we met in the bar did and praised it most highly. We would certainly choose to stay here on any return visit to the area.
To sum up, this is the real deal and to be highly recommended don't pass this one by or you will have missed out.

Thank you for your review, we pride ourselves in serving locally ( whenever possible) sourced ingredients, and always showcase seasonal products. Our team of chefs ( our head chef is a lady by the way) take pride in their work. Front of house staff try to be professional with a mix of friendly, nothing worse that stuffy staff !!, So next time phone us and book your room here, we would love you to try the whole experience.

I stayed here from Sun 12th August for 3 nights on a business trip .I arrived late on a Sunday evening and was very pleased to be able to have my supper in my room as I wanted to watch the Olympic closing ceremony . I had a lovely room upstairs with a very comfortable bed and enjoyed great sleeps after long working days . This hotel is very relaxed and the landlady and staff were so helpful and attentive . I had dinner with several colleagues over the 3 evenings and enjoyed the choices from a nicely prepared menu using locally sourced ingredients.
This hotel will be my choice when I next visit this beautiful part of Scotland whether on business or holiday.

We stayed here for two nights with an Itison deal. It's a nice hotel in a small village in Perthshire. We had a lovely large room upstairs with a cute sloping roof and a window with a window seat. There was also a dressing table with a stool and two arm chairs. The bed was two singles together and was comfortable.

The coffee/tea tray featured lovely stem ginger biscuits, boiled sweets and a whisky decanter).

The bathroom is also spacious. Toiletries provided (except hair conditioner).

Breakfast is good. There is a choice of cereal/yoghurt/fruit compotes, porridge (with cream and whisky if desired!), and a choice of hot dishes (full Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, kippers, and smoked haddock and poached eggs). Marmalade was probably homemade. Decaf coffee came in a cafetiere (yeah - not instant).

The hotel was easy to find using our sat nav.

Thank you for your review, all comments are very welcome and are always shared with the team. With the extras in the room I feel that it makes it a little special to all guests. I am pleased that breakfast met with your expectations, and yes you are quite correct the marmalade is made in house by our head chef.
I hope that you will come back and see us agin some time in the future.
Kind regards Kia

We stayed one night at the hotel over the Jubilee weekend. Myself, my wife, my son and our labrador 'Max'. The owner Kia was very welcoming and friendly as soon as we arrived and throughout our stay. She even provided us with a spare dog lead which was much appreciated. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and we really enjoyed our meal - steak with all the trimmings! Our Scottish breakfast made with local ingredients was excellent too - no complaints.

The room was a good size for the three of us, clean with an excellent shower, digital TV and comfy sofa & beds.

We booked the hotel for a base for playing some of the excellent golf courses nearby and we would definitely recommend the hotel to other families, couples or golf societies planning an outing. We really enjoyed our stay and our only regret is we didn't stay longer!

Thanks again to Kia and her staff for looking after us so well.

Now that you have found us we would be delighted to welcome you back again in the future. Hope Max is well, and I am sure that you will agree for dog owners we are well placed for easy walk straight from the hotel. Delighted that you found our rooms, food, and the team up to your standard, especially given that this had been a really busy weekend for us.

Delighted that you found the local golf at Blairgowrie good. Hope to see you and the family again

Kind regards

After spending the day travelling around looking at Pictish stones it was a welcome overnight stop at this hotel. Wifi available
Room was as requested and a very nice touch was apart from the usual tea/coffee there was fresh fruit and a small decanter with enough sherry and two glasses to revive a weary traveller.
We asked for coffee and a "nibble" and in addition to getting delicious coffee we also got the most delectable "home made" shortbread, a real "melt in the mouth" shortbread. It was really the nicest ever that we had. Can recommend that one should seek out this hotel if you are nearby just to have an afternoon snack!
Dinner was very pleasent, food delightful and very tasty as was breakfast. Even though they were out of yougurt, the waitress went the extra mile to get one for my wife. Lovely small touches like that abounded in this utterly delightful hotel.
I understand that there is very good fishing in the area, I wasn't fishing, but with the R. Tay close by, it is an ideal hotel for a fishing holiday.
Would we recommend this hotel? Yes without hesitation.
The hotel has a very extensive Malt Whisky list, which

Thank you for youur review, and we are delighted that you appreciate the extra touches in the room, I know when I am away, I am always looking at ways to improve what we offer all our guests. I am sorry that we were out of yoghurt at breakfast, but sometimes our suppliers are late with fresh deliveries depending on their given route of the day. Glad that you enjoyed our menu, and that the staff took time to look after you.

We hope that you are able to return to us in the near future.

We lunch here occasionally if walking our dogs in the nearby woods (a popular dog-walking area). They allow dogs in the bar area and garden, but not in the 'proper' restaurant. The menu is imaginative and the food tasty and well executed; we've always found the service to be friendly and welcoming, and their house beers are very good.
