I joined my friend here for five days after the death of my husband, it is a beautiful place, the gites are nestling amongst the trees, the grounds are beautifully maintained and there is a wonderful swimming pool and a orangery/conservatory, trampoline for children, something for the whole family. There are so many lovely villages all around, so plenty to see. The people everywhere are so friendly and helpful. domaine la Castagne has a lovely black cat too called Atomic who likes to visit all holiday makes but is very well behaved! This holiday for me was just what the doctor ordered!
We stayed in one of the smaller gites, La Fitou, which was perfect. The owners had provided everything we might need in the comfortable gite set in lovely grounds. Each gite had its own private terraced area so we had a lovely view over the countryside to sit and contemplate over a cool glass of local wine. There is a good pool (heated) and lots of activities to keep kids occupied. The owners also lend out bikes but we were so busy visiting the wonderful historic sites in this area, we never got a chance to borrow them.
