We stayed here, for 2 weeks for my 50th Birthday, friends from all over the world joined us, staying in hotels and other homes on HI.
It is positioned in the southern end of the island, a buggy is a must! There was one parked on the property but we were not able to access it (seemed a bit churlish).
The house is charming BUT, there was very little information on arrival for the property, we worked out a few issues ourselves and suffered the consequences along the way.
Drinking water, nothing worked re this in the house, we found some old big cooling bottles and took them to a shop to get cleaned and refilled.
We washed our clothes in the washing machine and ruined all the whites as the water was rusty.
A shower was only giving out hot water and this was fixed 2 days before we left.
A toilet was blocked and a drain was blocked.
We felt for the money that we spent compared to other properties that had drinking water on tap, washing on site as part of the rental cost (carried out by the maid) we were hard done by.
Many light bulbs were not working and cupboard doors were hanging off hinges.
The BBQ was old.
The generator was dodgy (we had 3 power cuts) and didn’t feel comfortable leaving it on.
This house was a beautiful home and is now neglected it needs some TLC and this should be reflected in the fees and customer expectations need to be better managed.
On saying that we had an amazing holiday and loved the whole experience.
If you rent this house check the water situation first and the washing machine and dishwasher as both were corroded and useless.
