“So happy we found this place.”

We (two adults and an 8-year old) spent a rainy afternoon driving the golf cart around Harbour Island. The only reason we stopped at Queen Conch was because a) there was a table with an umbrella under which we could eat and stay dry and b) the place was full of locals. We had no idea that this was the best place to eat in Harbour Island, but we know, now! We literally saw our freshly caught and gutted fish being carried in the back door. The staff seemed to almost lovingly prepare the food and at the end of our meal, when they asked if we liked it, they seemed genuinely pleased when we said we were happy. You can eat at the tables or get the food to go. If you want to people watch, this is the place to do it. It was clear that the staff knew most of the people that they were serving, but also treated us strangers as though we were just as important. We had the sense that this place was the true heart of the town and we felt like we had been part of something a bit special as we ate there.

The conch salad is a great deal. Served fresh as ordered; simply place your name and order
on the notepad provided and relax! Get a cold beer across the street or at the little bar next door and wait, its worth it.
They have a great patio behind for enjoying your meals and also great to watch the sunsets in the harbour with a nice cold drink and dinner.
They start serving conch about 12 noon until six, i believe they are closed on sundays.Conch is 10 dollars bahamian or US.

We had a delicious and perfectly cooked and seasoned blackened grouper the first night with a side of steamed vegetables while we watched the sunset in the harbour. Perfect.

The other great thing about Queen Conch is the people who own and run the place; Simone runs the back of things that offer so much in the way of great seafood and her parents and sister run the conch side of things. They are soooo friendly and make you feel like an old customer or a good friend.
Great food, great value and great people.

We like to "eat with the locals" and were delighted by this cute place! The food was wonderful....fresh fish of course....and the Key Lime Pie was GREAT. It is BYOB....BUT the Rum Punch next door was great and $3.......compared to $10 at the touristy places! Great find!

The conch salad is made until 6:00pm and is as good as everyone says - it's more of a ceviche than a salad but regardless, a remarkable snack or lunch. You can buy it to go, so we picked up a couple small tubs and ate overlooking the beach at our hotel. We also went for dinner one night and got grilled fish dinners that were fresh, simple and inexpensive. We picked up drinks from the shack next door and ate on their deck over the water. We enjoyed this restaurant just as much as the hotel restaurants. Highly recommend

This is fresh. You will feel like they are pulling it out of the ocean as soon as you order. They had stone crabs when I was there in May. The conch salad is so good that people plan their days around picking up an order every day of their trip to keep in their hotel fridge to nosh on daily. It is nothing fancy or expensive. It is fantastic, fresh and unlike any other. You must hit Queen Conch if you come to Harbour Island. There is a liquor store across the street and you can bring your own wine if you like while you dine.
