We (two adults and an 8-year old) spent a rainy afternoon driving the golf cart around Harbour Island. The only reason we stopped at Queen Conch was because a) there was a table with an umbrella under which we could eat and stay dry and b) the place was full of locals. We had no idea that this was the best place to eat in Harbour Island, but we know, now! We literally saw our freshly caught and gutted fish being carried in the back door. The staff seemed to almost lovingly prepare the food and at the end of our meal, when they asked if we liked it, they seemed genuinely pleased when we said we were happy. You can eat at the tables or get the food to go. If you want to people watch, this is the place to do it. It was clear that the staff knew most of the people that they were serving, but also treated us strangers as though we were just as important. We had the sense that this place was the true heart of the town and we felt like we had been part of something a bit special as we ate there.
