Really loved this place. We were able to takeout a dinner for two people for around 17 USD, 2 out of 3 nights we were on Harbour Island. Lets face it, food is not cheap there and there are limited places to eat.

Avery's is reasonably priced, served good food and has a very friendly staff. Nothing fancy, just a cute local diner with no frills.

I always try local places to eat and this was no disappointment! Large portions, very reasonable prices. Make sure you show up hungry!

Everyone on the island recommended Averys. We finally went there and it was just fair. The fish and local lobster is very fresh, caught that day. It was just a little over cooked and bland. The owner and her son do it all and are very nice.

I am a sucker for Bahamian breakfast. And Avery's has the island's stamp of approval. Everyone you talk to will tell you Avery's is the place to go. If seeing ants on your table makes you weak, or plastic covering on the tables is not your thing, don't go. This is not a fancy restaurant. But the self serve coffee is strong, the johnny cake is thick and has whole pieces of coconut in it! The chicken sous was delicious! All of this for 2 people: $22! Breakfast at my hotel was $22 per plate...no thanks! Going back to Avery's in the morning for tuna and grits and stewed fish with...you guessed it! Johnny CAKE!!!!! A definite must visit!

The daily specials really are special and the adult beverages are poured with a heavy hand compared to other places on Briland
