Description: Located in historic Bathsheba on the rugged east coast of Barbados, Round House has been a popular destination for locals and visitors for 150 years. With a colorful history as a train stop and longtime private residence, Round House today is one of the island's most beloved landmarks. The property offers commanding views of the Atlantic coastline, a panoramic vista of the iconic limestone rocks and thundering waves of Bathsheba, and an undisturbed stretch of beach studded with natural tidal pools just above one of the world's premier surf spots. Our bed-and-breakfast inn offers five architecturally-unique guest rooms, with unparalleled views and historic features intact throughout the completely original building. Our bustling restaurant uses only simple, fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for our menu served daily inside our dining room or outside on our decks overlooking the Atlantic, where you can put up your feet and unwind with one of the best views on the island.

We stayed for 3 nights in Room 4. It was amazing with all the windows open, wind blowing though like a natural fan on high at night time. Loved the surroundings in the Round House and Bathsheba. The host and hostess were very accommodating and kind. The whole environment and experience was very chill and relaxing. The Round House Restaurant closes early Sunday so make sure you make plans for dinner elsewhere, Dina's Tiki Bar down the road is nice, little bit pricey. Taxi and bus route's are easily accessible to the Round House. The food at the Round House Restuarant was so delicious, have to get the bread fruit gnocchi dish. Coffee in the morning on your balcony is unforgettable, whether you watch the sun rise or just watch the ebb and flow of each wave break on the Soup Bowl. If you plan to surf, and don't like stepping on sea urchins and sharp reef, bring booties. lol. The owners helped us out with getting boards and getting around. It was my best vacation ever, Barbados, the country and it's people are beautiful.

The portions were larger than I expected. The taste, however, was average. The best thing on the menu was the coconut shrimp! We were there on a Sunday and there was live music and a lively atmosphere. The views are incredible, and you should try and sit outside if the weather permits. Service was hit or miss, but overall the experience was worth it.

Wonderful Sunday Brunch overlooking the Eastern Coast of the island. Hightly recommend the sweet potato fritters appetizer!! The Mojitos were amazing! The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. Very laid back feel and could have stayed all day just staring into the amazing water.

On the way back to my lodging from the wildlife reserve, I stopped in Bathsheba at the Round House, one of several eating establishments on the shore near the Soup Bowl. The coconut shrimp were huge and tasty. Two sides and a Banks plus dessert hit the spot. Service was good but not great. I was there between main serving hours though. The place is a landmark and the view is superb. There is plenty of seating and the price is reasonable for a white table cloth restaurant.
