This is the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. It very much feels like home from the moment you walk in. Drink your morning coffee while watching the dolphins play from the balcony or from the inside through wall to wall sliding doors. Perfect views of the beach and ocean. Though not actually "on the beach" the walk down the pier over the dunes and marsh is not too bad. You will want a cart if you plan to "set up" for the day. That gear would be allot to carry the distance. Furniture, beds and decor is what you buy for your own home. Not cheap rental stuff. We were there at the beginning of off season and the beach was secluded. Not sure that's how it might be during high season. Lots of shells and the marked off turtle nests were fascinating. Wish I could see them hatch and run to sea. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. However, the number 1 ranked, "Indian Pass" is almost impossible to get into. It was off season but a Saturday and the wait was so long people were "tail gating" in the parking lot while waiting! We chose to go another highly recommended restaurant called "hole in the wall". That's exactly what it is and the oysters were fresh and delicious.
