“Week stay at Azienza Agrituristica dell'Etna”
Reviewed May 28, 2012

We had a fantastic stay at dell'Etna. The owner, Salvo, and his family were very nice and fun. our room was big, clean, comfortable and had a nice view of Mt. Etna and the surrounding country side. It was so nice to wake up in the morning to the sound of birds singing and no sounds of traffic and city noise. Breakfast was always fun. We would drink as many espressos or cappuccinos as we wanted, plan out our day using our iPad, connected to their WIFi, eating their home made bread with good spreads, and fresh orange juice.
dell'Etna was a great location to explore Taromina, Catania and Syracuse.
I loved having the choice of finding a restaurant for dinner or just showing up for dinner at dell'Etna. They fed us wonderful local food and catered to me, a vegetarian, and my husband who will eat anything. There was more food then we could eat. One morning I went to the garden and worked with one of the ladies pulling weeds and playing with her dog.
Great place to stay. They treat you very well!!!!

We had a delicious Christmas lunch here on Dec. 25, 2011 with our family who joined us from France. The food was delicious and plentiful, the service was attentive and friendly. We felt as if we were having lunch with friends and family.

We were staying at a casa nearby and had run out of wood for the fireplace which was a necessity because of the chilly weather. The owner was gracious enough to give us enough wood to keep us warm for a few days until we could buy some more.

We would definitely recommend this restaurant as a genuine Sicilian experience.

Stayed at this agriturismo from October 19 until October 22. This is a family run agriturismo with a wonderful restaurant and accomodations. Our room was spotlessly clean and very spacious. It had tile floor, iron bed with a very comfortable firm mattress and good pillows. There was an armoire, TV, desk and antique dresser. The bathroom was huge with shower, bidet, sink and toilet and plenty of towels. We had a great nights sleep all three nights--very quiet and light blockout shutters. We had a wonderful view of Taormina and a peak at the ocean from our room. With our window open, we woke to the sounds of a rooster crowing, bird’s churping and church bells ringing, very peaceful. There is good wireless Internet access from the lobby, terrace and restaurant. There are great views of Mt. Etna from the property and beautiful sunrise from the front balcony. The property is a working farm with many vegetables, olive and citrus trees and palm trees. The setting is very rural, but not far from the autostrada and the town of Riposto. Where there was a small grocery store, fish market and locals relaxing and roasting chestnuts. We were on half board and had wonderful multi course dinners each night in the restaurant. The food was very delicious and we looked forward to only have to walk a few steps to retire for the evening. Breakfast was typical Italian: breads, cakes, juice and coffee. There were multiple spreads for the bread. The pistacio was so delicious. We felt right at home the minute we arrived, Salvo was there to greet us and that was very helpful and personable. We would love to return and could easily spend an entire week. Easy drive to Taormina, Catania and very manageable to Siracusa.

We stayed there for two nights during our car trip through southern Italy. It was definitely a good choice.

Accommodation is comfortable, the farm is well organized. It has warm Sicilian atmosphere. Rooms are tidy, well equipped and spacious - furnished in rustical, but modern style. Gorgeous view on the Etna mountain.

We had B&B. We loved the homemade bread and pastry we were served. Right from the oven. Unfortunately we missed the opportunity to stay for the dinner.

The farm is well positioned if you want to explore North-east part of Sicily, especially if you plan to visit Etna. Beautiful cities Taormina and Giardini Naxos can be reached by car in few minutes.

The owner is very nice person and speaks english quite good. We booked the room by email, no advance payment required.
