I found this hotel, like money during this trip, via the Starwood website. I found the pictures and website description intriguing. The hotel was everything and much more than what the website promised. Definitely one of the most stylish hotels I've ever been to, with impeccable taste inside and out. It is a tiny boutique hotel with only 18 rooms and the tiny little restaurant. You do feel accordingly during your stay: special, pampered and getting a lot of attention. The dining experience in the hotel was superb; we felt like we are being taken care of by a hosting family. Very professional and warm service overall.
The room is an absolute heaven for admirers of modern architecture. One can feel the affinity of the hotel owner to architecture - the building is packed with architectural and stylish books from the lobby throughout the spa into the rooms.
Our major travel interest was the lake Como area, but this hotel was definitely worth the little extra drive. We are definitely coming back!

Very modern and nicely designed hotel, super attentive front desk staff, he will personally send you to your room and show you around and teach you how to use the room facilities, good breakfast and comfortable surroundings. Would like to stay again if come back around this area in future.

Stayed one night on award points (vs published rate of EUR 180 at the time of booking). That rate levels sets the expectations not being top-notch but fairly high standard. Arrived at the property. There is no sign at the street showing to the hotel. Though the address was correct, we parked the car and started trying to locate the lobby. We first walked into a bakery and the clerk then told us the reception would be next door so we walk down a small walkway to an annex building behind without any sign showing a hotel name or the word front desk and found a reception with an attendant behind the desk. Checked-in, got the room. At first sight, looks modern and somewhat fancy. Design in its true meaning should also facilitate good functionality and not just look good from a distance. As such, we started to make the following experiences. TV does not work so I had to call someone up to make it work. Bathroom TV (as they need to have that) does not work either and did also not ever get to work. The toilet seat is quadrangular and thus just about the most uncomfortable piece of furniture to sit on (remember, human beings buttocks are not squared). The shower is simply non-sense: no possibility to put the shower gel and shampoo anywhere but on the floor and the glass separator has only little purpose as the water spills out of the cabin either way given the pressure of the hand shower is too high. There are also handles inside the shower that have no purpose but nearly fall off as I would imagine everyone has tried to turn and twist them somehow. That is a construction mistake. As simple as that. The sink has a problem too. It empties quickly though the water, once out of the sink, keeps on dripping "somewhere" so that you got a nice little noise accompanying you trying to fall asleep. The AC/Heater does not work. It has a fancy digital temperature control both for the room and the bathroom but that control controls nothing. Window shade. One big massive curtain to cover the big window. So you either have full darkness or not. Room control panel. Fancy in what looks like stainless steel with engraved words. The great looks don't help as - depending on the light intensity in the room, you simply cannot read what it says. Bedside table. on one side, not on the other which is particularly pleasing given you have to put your glasses and mobile phone on the floor (they have 3 power plugs on each side of the bed that should call for at least a small table). SPA: whilst they hotel has this word in its name, there is no SPA as you would imagine and expect. The SPA is only for private use and you have to reserve it in advance and then, if you do get it for max 2 hours we were told, you also pay for it. Having been around the world a few times, I have never seen such a non-sense setup anywhere!!! The outside pool, from what we could see from our room, is dirty and there is a goose in it which is probably not the most hygienic use of a pool. Check-out: we asked for an invoice. The clerk refused to give us a paper copy but he said we have to trust him. Yes, you did read correctly, they refuse to give you a paper copy but urge you to trust them. Trust is something you earn and not something you request, certainly not at a place like this in view of the above experiences made. Parking: chaotic. Locals park wherever so that I had to move my car back and forth, by an inch every move, for about 30 times until I could get out. Clients of the bakery shop don't want to get wet and that is paramount so you, as the hotel guest, if you have really bad luck, just have to wait. All in all, a waste of time and money but certainly interesting to have seen how far non-sense and inherent dysfunctionality can go in the 21st century under the cover of "design hotel" ....

Very nice and modern hotel. We had a great upsell in a beautiful room. Thanks to all the staff from the front desk especially Stefano who was very kind. He helped us with the booking and gave us good recommandation for Como and Bellagio. Breakfast is special but good and served by very attentive and kind people.

Great design.
Great food.
Very friendly staff.
The hotel is in Cassago and this is in the province of Brianza about 45min to Como and 1hr to Lugano in Switzerland. Essentially it is the hinterland area between Monza and the lakes district.
