“Beautiful large cottage in a wonderful harbour-side setting”
Reviewed April 6, 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Spent a fantastic 4 days in this beautiful cottage. It was much larger than I expected. We had friends with us and there were 4 adults and 3 kids. Only 2 out of the 3 bedrooms were used as the kids slept in the attic livingroom which had 2 double futon beds. Cottage had absolutely everything you could need for a getaway stay. Large dining room which we socialised around, playing board games etc. in the evening. Our dog came with us and loved the coastal walks to Pittenweem in one direction and Elie in the other. We were also lucky that East Pier seafood restaurant was open, the food there is amazing. The location is fantastic and just a short walk from the harbour up Narrow Wynd to the entrance. Garden is nice and secluded and would be lovely sitting out on a Summer evening with a glass of wine. The cottage is certainly quirky with the look and layout, the bedrooms were ample sized and the master bedroom down the stairs had a very large bathroom next to it with a great stand-alone bathtub, it could however have benefited from a separate shower as there is ample space for this. On the first floor, there are 2 double bedrooms and another bathroom with shower. Everything has wonderful character and it’s a pleasure staying in such a wonderful location. Also, the newly installed WiFi works great which is a bonus as telephone signal is almost non existent in the cottage but fine at the harbour.

“Blustery walks and a cosy cottage”
Reviewed January 5, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Stayed for four nights over new year and cottage was perfect of our party of 5 could easily accommodate 6 or 8. Recommend Braids tavern in Elie for the home made soup and toasties when most places were closed for new years.
We had gales every day but made the coastal trail very interesting, didn't really matter when you were coming home to a warm house with a good bath and shower. Our compact firework display was complemented by the town's offering in the background!
The rooms are quite separate and provided good privacy with the downstairs seeming like a small flat. You have to fish about though the cupboards a bit to find things like extra pillows but everything was there and all very clean\n. WI Fi and phone signal were non existent but we saw this as a bonus??
Would recommend and hope top be back.

Liked best: The size of the rooms and dining round the big downstairs table next to the fire
Liked least: Could leave spare batteries for the smoke alarm

“cosy and comfortable”
Reviewed October 30, 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The house combines the ancient ambience of an old fisherman's house with all the modern comfort you need. It was warm and inviting. We enjoyed the large lounge in the attic and having a real fire on in the dining room. Together with the surroundings - the near harbour and coastal path - it meant a very enjoyable holiday for all the family.
