“Five Star Stay!”
Reviewed November 27, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

We had an excellent stay in cosy, comfortable Periwinkle! The owners were extremely accommodating when we had to extend our booking twice. The local caretaker was very kind, having the heating on and milk and cookies waiting for us. Everything was of high quality.....bedding, linen, kitchenware ....even the artwork was superb! I would thoroughly recommend Periwinkle ! Best rental we have been to!

The description of the property was exactly what it says...plus cosy open fires. My partner and I observed that it would be ideal for families as green space and a kids play park was at the back door! It was a windy day and it was fantastic to hear the sound of the surf when venturing outside .St Monans has loads of character but you must explore the surrounding coastal villages. The Fishermans Museum at Anstruther is a must see. Cliff top walks are awesome and look out to sea.Name the distant Islands and you are hooked!

“Exceeded expectations”
Reviewed October 22, 2014 for a stay in October 2014

The Property is positioned in a fishing village on the Coast that we call the Scottish Cornwall.
It is a typical terraced house but has been fitted out both to retain its character and with all modern facilities ( except smart but it does have WIFI ).It has a coal fire which we didn't have to use because we caught Scotland's Indian summer and a washing machine/tumbler dryer made it the perfect home from home. Thank you to our local manager and the Owner for a good stay while we visited our relatives and the sights of Fife.

Clean, well maintained and comfortably furnished cottage in very pretty location.
Electricity, heating and spotless bedding and towels all provided. Also nice little welcoming touches like fresh milk and cakes left for your arrival with a friendly note from the local lady who looks after the property.
Very poor mobile reception in the area but free wifi lets you keep in touch with the outside world or not if you prefer.
Perfect for a chill out break.

“A comfortable property in an excellent location with many advantages .”
Reviewed February 5, 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Periwinkle cottage is warm, comfortable and well equipped with a secure garden which opens on to a common . This is an ideal property for dog owning visitors. You can completely relax because dogs are secure at all times and there are excellent walks from the door. Library and shop within walking distance, lovely places to visit and a local lady who not only supplies fresh bedding but bakes great cakes. What more could you want?
