Stayed here on the way to and home from our holiday abroad as only 20mins from Prestwick Airport. This is a very nice wee hotel with a great view. This hotel has recently been taken over by new management and I must say they are doing a great job. The lounge bar and restaurant have both been decorated and are looking good, and there is a very nice atmosphere in the place. All staff are all very friendly and very helpfull. The room was huge (family room),clean and comfortable with plently nice fluffy towels provided. Ok yes the windows do need replacing as stated in some previous reviews but I must state that this did NOT spoil our stay at all and I still recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in the area.

I also recommend the restaurent in this hotel. We had dinner and breakfast and the food was fantastic (sticky toffee pudding to die for, Yum). The prices are also very very reasonable.

Well done to the new Management they are doing a great job with this place, I will definately be staying again.

Stayed for 1 night only as we were attending a wedding at Seamill Hydro (£9 taxi ride). The location is perfect, room nicely decorated, great shower and plenty white fluffy towels. Cooked breakfast was delicious (ordered previous night) and came with a big pot of tea.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 3 which overlooked the sea

My friend and myself had a great lunch here, lovely sunny day so sat out in the terrace. Friendly staff, reasonably priced and the food was great, we both had the burger which was clearly home made, tasted amazing and was accomapanied by chips and onion rings. definately worth a visit

Booked dinner for 14 after my daughter's graduation. Had "The Deck" which is a lovely private dining area. Everything was perfect..the service the food and the staff. We had a set menu 3 starters 4 main courses and 3 desserts and coffee for £17...great value. Nothing was to much trouble and we were the last to leave but didn't feel we were being rushed to leave. This hotel had gone rapidly down hill recently but now it's been taken over hopefully it will regain it's previous good reputation. It's in a lovely location and has a good outdoor area to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sun go down.

We stayed here for only one night, we wished it was longer, a fantastic location, next to great beach and childrens play park. The hotel was very clean, the room was a good size, very white towels and lots of them. We chose what we wanted for breakfast the evening before and there was plenty of it. The plates were very hot and the fresh pot of tea and coffee was great. I would recomend this hotel to anyone and would stay on our next visit to Scotland.

Visited during May 2011. This is a great wee hotel. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Food was great. The room we had has just been newly decorated and was lovely, with the added luxury of having a 42" flat screen TV mounted on the wall. The dining room and lounge bar where also in the middle of being decorated when we visited, as this hotel has just recently been taken over by new management. Good luck to the new owners with their venture.

Also very handy for Prestwick Airport as only about a 20 minute drive. Will definately stay again.

We held a big family and friends birthday party in the Lauriston as a surprise for our mother's birthday. Both in the planning and on the day the hotel manager and all his staff were tremendously helpful and welcoming. The food was just perfect for the occasion and we can recommend it without reservation. A perfect delight !
