Back in the 60`s my self and several friends all teenage boys used to camp in a field above the victoria inn ,and used as our (local). Now coming back with my wife to re-visit we found the pub
a must to go and eat in, the food was great and the landlady and her staff were of outstanding
quality. It is a place to go if you should ever go cornwall. We will be going back with out adoubt.

Another great find from trip advisor recommendations.

A beautiful old pub set in a tiny village not far from the tourist hot spots of St Michaels Mount and St Ives.

Once seated we were treated to some freshly made bread (always a plus in my eyes). I had the 'Fish on Toast' and my husband the pate for starter, both of which were fantastic. For main I had the chicken and wild mushroom rissotto which was just perfect.

Aswell as the food being great, the atmosphere is lovely. Traditional surroundings with plenty of space to be comfortable whilst dining.

Would definatley recommend and would return. Only wish this place was on my doorstop, 6 hours is far to long a drive to go for dinner ; )

Friendly and busy, this restaurant (it's not really a pub) has well spaced tables, an excellent menu and fantastically fresh fish - also excellent chips. A real gem and a good idea to book certainly on holiday week-ends.

We are glad we found this place and not had one dinner we didn't like.
Excellent quality and good portions at reasonable prices.
Nice ambience too if you sit in the bar area.
We would give it a 10/10 if they answrered their phone a bit more often as we often ring quite a bit before we they finally answer to make a booking.

We called in for lunch and were we pleased we did! Lovely log fire, very friendly welcome and excellent local beer. We had a rissotto and confit duck. Food just superb in every way - good portions and beautifuly cooked. Cant ask for more - just wish they would move closer to where we live! Thanks for another super meal.
