This is a nice place to sit outside in the sun. the dal was a little lacking in spice and definitely lacking in any heat and the potato and bacon salad was pretty average. Cordials were good.
Service a little slow maybe just a bad day others seem more impressed

Hello NickoAnette,
Thank you so much for your review - it means an great deal to us when customers take the time and trouble to write a review and share their experience at Peppercorn.
Consequently, it's really disappointing to hear about your very average lunch yesterday.
You're right that the dal has no heat - it's an intentionally mild one, but we are checking the seasoning of the next batch very carefully - so thank you for that.
We are sorry that you found the bacon and potato salad so average but at the same time gratified that others seemingly had a more exciting lunch.
I do hope that you return to Peppercorn Kitchen Cafe and allow us to redeem ourselves!!
with our best wishes

Jenni, Lisa and the team.

“Fresh and fragrant food!”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Superb lunch on Sunday 21st July after a great swim at Perranuthnoe. Such a wide variety of interesting mains - the sardines and gooseberry jam were delicious! The beetroot salad, butternut squash humous and mackerel pâté were equally wonderful. So good to sit in the sun with family and enjoy a lunch which was so obviously prepared by staff who care. Long may you continue ladies!

“simply wonderful!”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

We visited in late June and had lunch after a long hike along the coastal path. The menu is interesting and we had trouble choosing because there were so many tempting options. We had fish and a vegetarian dish and have since tried twice to recreate the makarel with feta cheese topping (not quite as nice as yours, we'll keep trying).
The food was delicious, staff was very friendly and service was very good. The cafe was almost full when we arrived, still food appeared very quickly and tasted just great.
This was one of the best lunch breaks we had during our vacation in Cornwall.

“Lovely way to spend a wet lunchtime(or even a hot summer ' s one)”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Visited the cafe on Tuesday July 2 .A lovely find for a wet summers day. Also would be lovely on a sunny day.
I had the summer chicken curry and my husband had the shredded lamb. The salads and breads accompanying the meal were excellent and the flavours in the lamb and chicken dishes were superb. We also had a lovely homemade refreshing drink of ginger and lemon grass.
Will visit again.
