An excellent proper local Pub....Good food especially salt beef Sandwiches and Fish and Chips on a Friday . A great social hub including tradesmen and professions alike rubbing shoulders and looking out for each other. What community used to be about?..

Lovely pub/bed and breakfast.. lovely old hotel situated in Hadley wood area and residential streets. Fine selection of beers and Ales and lovely food served during the day.
There salt beef sandwiches are the best.

As someone has already said, this pub could be a gold mine, given it is in a cashed up area, and an ideal local - a rarity these days. It used to be great, and the food was delicious. However now it is tired, decaying and in need of freshening up big time. We don't want it to become a trendy gastro pub with over inflated food prices - but some good home cooking with a limited menu would work wonders. Also they ruined the place by building a house in the once gorgeous beer garden - that was the beginning of its demise ....

Room tip: would not recommend any rooms if the pub area is anything to go by
