East Barnet amenities at the end of the road had everything one could want. Great pub, co-op and new Ninova mediteranean restaurant with the best caring service we have ever experienced in London! Went with friends. We are seasoned renters.
The stairs, as advertised, might challenge those with mobility issues. All else just perfect. Clean, bright, all amenities, very pleasant back yard and summer house. Information booklet most helpful and neighbours friendly. John and Gail B

We had an absolutely fantastic time staying at Railway Cottage. The cottage is situated towards the end of a lovely street with lots of free parking just outside the house. We arrived late on a Friday evening and the owners had kindly reserved a space outside the house using their own car as the street was busy due to a local festival. There were howver no parking issues for the rest of the week. The street itself was also very quiet, so there no issues either getting to sleep or getting woken early in the morning.
There are a number of good local takeaways and restaurants within a 10 minute walk including a Costa at the bottom of the street that came in very handy for breakfast during the week. 40-45 minutes saw us in to the centre of London by public transport (short bus ride to Arnos Grove tube station.)
The house itself was absolutely perfect for our needs with a good sized dining room with a smaller kitchen which was more than adequate for our needs and a comfortable living room. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with very comfortable beds - one kingsize and the other room we had set up as two twins for our children.
I also spent a fair bit of my time reading down at the end of the garden in the summer house (with the odd glass of wine) which provided a perfect quiet retreat at the end of a long day exploring the city.
The location is also very handy of you plan to visit the Harry Potter studios being little more than an hours drive from Watford.
We would definitely look to book this property again for any future London trips
Second stay at cottage . Ideal for a family of four . Both train and bus into London quick and easy. Close to town . Made use of summer house as lovely weather. Warm welcome on arrival . Looking forward to staying again soon .
Great location, near many bus stop and co-op. Very quiet and comfortable experiences in London.Rob is always willing to help.Highly recommended.
We had a fantastic time on our trip to London. The cottage option is better than a hotel for us with teenage kids. The cottage was amazing! Everything was immaculate and it was so well equipped. The beds were super comfy and it was such a quiet street that we had brilliant sleeps. We will definitely visit again when we go to London next time. Thank you Rita and Rob for a great holiday.
Met hosts at check-in and they were so helpful, offering to assist with anything and showed me around their house. Comfortable and cosy house, excellent beds and cleanliness throughout the house.
Kitchen has plenty of utensils to make use of for dinner and there is a dishwasher available if you so wish. There is a large garden and summer house with a line to hang washing if you need to use the washing machine. They provide instructions on how to use everything which is lovely.
The surrounding area of east barnet village is lovely and has some restaurants and shops to see and an information pack is provided to assist with the local area and central London if necessary. You do not feel as if you are in London and there are plenty of green spaces around but can also get to central London in a nice time.
Oakleigh park is the local mainline train to central London stations including Moorgate . Theres is also underground stations a short bus ride or even walk away. Brnet high street is not far and I walked in around 20 mins after stopping off at some of the local pubs which were a delight in the spring sunshine.
I cannot recommend this place enough it has everything you need, fast wifi if you need to keep in touch with the world or it is quiet enough to lose yourself in the lovely village feel and read a book - they provide these as well as things for children to read which is nice as the house caters for all ages and family.
Thank you so much for being excellent hosts I look forward to going back.
Greeted on arrival with lots of useful information. Short walk to local pub with good food. Train station a 10 minute walk . Cottage lovely and warm . Everything we needed for a family of four.
