“Amazing find for a trip to London”
Reviewed April 12, 2017 for a stay in April 2017

We had a fantastic time on our trip to London. The cottage option is better than a hotel for us with teenage kids. The cottage was amazing! Everything was immaculate and it was so well equipped. The beds were super comfy and it was such a quiet street that we had brilliant sleeps. We will definitely visit again when we go to London next time. Thank you Rita and Rob for a great holiday.

“Perfect house in lovely East Barnet”
Reviewed March 19, 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Met hosts at check-in and they were so helpful, offering to assist with anything and showed me around their house. Comfortable and cosy house, excellent beds and cleanliness throughout the house.
Kitchen has plenty of utensils to make use of for dinner and there is a dishwasher available if you so wish. There is a large garden and summer house with a line to hang washing if you need to use the washing machine. They provide instructions on how to use everything which is lovely.
The surrounding area of east barnet village is lovely and has some restaurants and shops to see and an information pack is provided to assist with the local area and central London if necessary. You do not feel as if you are in London and there are plenty of green spaces around but can also get to central London in a nice time.
Oakleigh park is the local mainline train to central London stations including Moorgate . Theres is also underground stations a short bus ride or even walk away. Brnet high street is not far and I walked in around 20 mins after stopping off at some of the local pubs which were a delight in the spring sunshine.

I cannot recommend this place enough it has everything you need, fast wifi if you need to keep in touch with the world or it is quiet enough to lose yourself in the lovely village feel and read a book - they provide these as well as things for children to read which is nice as the house caters for all ages and family.

Thank you so much for being excellent hosts I look forward to going back.

Hi Gloria, thank you for your kind comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the cottage and the area. Also pleased that you made it to Blueberries as it is a great little restaurant.
We hope to see you again in the future.

“Great place to stay”
Reviewed September 3, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Had a really nice 3 day break in Railway cottage with my girlfriend and another couple. The house was very comfortable and had all you need for a stay. We loved evening cocktails in the summer house. Plenty of places to eat and a decent pub all at the end of the road. Very easy for getting into London. Did it by train from the local station five minutes walk away but also downloaded the bus app advised by Rita and Rob, and jumped the bus to the undergound in no time. Rita and Rob were very helpful with tips on what to do and where to go in London. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

“A Very Relaxing Holiday”
Reviewed August 20, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I travelled to England with my family in order to visit London, the Harry Potter Studio Tour (make sure you book before going - I had not realised but they were kind enough to make an exception) and watch a musical. The house is lovely - tastefully decorated, cosy and comfortable, including a lovely garden and summer house. It includes everything one would need during a holiday, be it utensils, commodities TV, Wi-Fi etc. The owners Rita and Bob were very helpful and accommodating. Supermarkets and pubs are also within 5 minutes walk away. The house is ideally located to all we wanted to do as it is within reach of central London but also to any outlying activities - the underground station is also only 5 minutes away by car. Parking in the street was never a problem. Overall we had a lovely holiday and will definitely go again should we visit London again. Highly recommended!
