Comfortable flat with a lovely view. Amble is a friendly fishing village ideally situated for exploring north east England.
Having never stayed in Northumberland before this was a perfect spot for exploring the southern part of the county from Amble to Holy Island. It was a good apartment with a great kitchen and all the things you would need for a few days' stay. A minor problem was sorted out immediately and my daughter and I really enjoyed our stay here. It is within easy walking distance of a wonderful restaurant called the Old Boathouse - amazing lobster and lemon posset - and did not take us long to walk into Warkworth, which has a great ruined castle.
Excellent value. The flat is clean, warm, cosy with great views from the lounge over the Marina towards Warkworth Castle (telescope & binoculars provided!). Location is great. Minutes from everything (food, shops, sea & bus stop). We did not use all the facilities (cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, shed with beach things, second TV in second bedroom complete with kids DVD's, books/games) but heating, microwave, toaster, shower (did not attempt the steam / jet!) Freeview TV and Wi Fi were all easy to use with instructions at hand if needed.
The area is amazing with wonderful sea vistas, castles, villages and walks. It was a shame we only had 3 days to explore and were too early in the year for the Puffin cruises.
If we return to this area we would not hesitate to book again.
