Lovely seaside location, but not commercialised. Perfect spot for going up and down the Nothumberland coast and exploring Inland too. The cottage is right on the harbour and is exactly as described. Really comfortable, roomy and a perfect place to stay. Great value and Martin is a considerate host. Highly recommended and we would stay there again for a third time.

“A comfortable well equipped cottage with a wonderful view”

Bay view had everything we needed for self catering, it was very clean and a pleasure to walk into. The furnishings and decoration throughout were well planned and co-ordinated and in good condition.

The view across the bay is stunning . Amble is popular at the weekends with the market and the harbour, there are Puffin trips from the harbour when the weather is kind. Amble is well situated for trips to National Trust and English Heritage sites as well as coastal walks and sandy beaches. It is a perfect place for dog owners, our dog had at least two swims a day just over the road from the cottage.

This is a rental that I would certainly return to.

We have stayed in many cottages in Amble...this one was wonderful.
It was spotlessly clean with lovely comfy beds.

The views of the sun going down over the harbour from Bay View are spectacular.

Amble is a dog owners paradise, the beaches and all the pubs are dog friendly.

I can only have the highest praise for the property and the owners.
The house is ideally situated overlooking the Little Shore at Amble Harbour with sea views and Warkworth Castle in sight. Within, the house is bright, clean and very well equipped and furnished. Everything you need for a stay is there. Martin and Linda, the owners, are very welcoming and friendly.
For those new to the area, Amble provides an excellent base for exploring Northumberland with beautiful scenery all around and attractions only a short drive away. Amble itself is full of interest from local shops, to fishing and sailing boats at the harbour and boat trips to Coquet island. There are many wide, sandy beaches nearby.
I heartily recommend a stay at Sandy bay.

“Worth the visit”

Overlooking Amble Bay the accommodation was very smart with everything you could want - home from home. Sitting at the table eating our meals you could see the harbour and Warkworth castle in the background.

Short walk in to village and the numerous bars, most of which did food and even a Tesco and Coop for your needs.

The rooms did get very warm overnight, but easily managed if it gets too hot for you, the kitchen was well set out with plenty of items for six people - including a dishwasher! Took a while to get used to electric cooker.

For a short trip it was very worth while and we went out of season so nice a quiet, not sure what Amble is like in summer when the caravaners all arrive but it's a great base to visit the region.

This house is wonderful; a proper home from home. This house is idea for fishing. The pier and little shore is out the front door. It decorated very tastefully and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped and there was everything we could wish for and more beside. There is a dishwasher, washer/dryer and a full size fridge freezer all with instructions (which was a god send with the washer!). There was lots of storage in the kitchen for a week shopping. The kitchen has patio doors opening on to a large patio and garden. The garden is secured so fit for children and pets. We was allowed one dog at £15 charge. The lounge was cosy and leading on to dining room with a large table and 6 chairs. The view from this window was astonishing; it was different every morning. There are 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and a twin) and like the rest of the house these was well equipped, with lots of storage for clothes. We had the back bedroom (this over looked the garden) it was en-suit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. Other members in the group also comment that their beds comfortable too. We found the holiday let was terrific for a starting point to access lots of lovely places Alnwick, Seahouses, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island. There is a chip shop two streets away that do incredible fish and chips. There is a Saturday car boot and Sunday market on the harbour. There is a meat stall (on a Sunday) that is great value and a fish stall that is much cheaper than the bait shop for fish for bait. The bait shop, coop and Tesco are all within a 5mins walk. We cannot wait to go back.....
