Over 50 of us dined at a celebration lunch. We had a choice of food (menu photo attached) and the food was pretty darn good. I had a tasty prawn cocktail starter with wheaten bread. The prawns are cold water, very tasty North Atlantic prawns and they are the right prawns for a prawn cocktail, not those oversized taste lacking giant warm water prawns favoured by Chinese restaurants. My main was a roast beef lunch with a fantastic Yorkshire pudding, excellent gravy, good mash, perfectly cooked vegetables and deep fried potatoes. Those who had the garlic mushrooms and soup starters and the salmon mains all declared them tasty too. I was able to try the dill sauce that came with the salmon and, like the gravy, it was surprisingly very good. We all finished with tea and coffee. It was no easy feat to serve up over 50 very good meals as quickly as they did. So near full marks. One downside just one draft beer (Coors) on sale. Oh, sadly no Internet.
