“Beautiful and Quaint”
Reviewed July 28, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Our room was beautifully decorated. Everything was clean and open and light. The balcony had a perfect view of the harbor. At night, the harbor is so still and silent. It was a perfect place for a our honeymoon!! The restaurant downstairs had delicious food as well. Very convenient if you don't want to drive into Eastsound for dinner.

“Quiet get a way”
Reviewed July 27, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Kingfish Inn was a great quiet get a way on Orcas Island. My husband and I traveled there and stayed for a week. View of the west sound was pretty, and plenty of hiking trails nearby. Although expected, there is no daily housekeeping service and no wifi. The cellular signal was not great for us on the island, but if being disconnected is your goal... This is the place to go. Complimentary breakfast is included, but menu is fixed and not announced prior to arrival at the meal.

“Relaxing and peaceful”
Reviewed July 20, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Beautiful spot and a very comfortable, nice room! Westsound Cafe was wonderful; close to the float plane dock, which is great, and a car or some kind of transportation is needed to get anyplace else on the island; it's about a 20 minute drive to Eastsound. Recommended!

“Hidden Away - Who Knew?”
Reviewed April 28, 2014 for a stay in June 2013

We stayed here three nights in the upstairs suite. With some mobility issues, the hike up the stairs was a challenge but the room was cozy and lovely with a water few. We had a lovely walk along the harbour, it was equal distance to Deer Harbor and Eastsound. The food was wonderful, especially breakfast - . colorfully presented. Quiet - a true get-a-way.

“Almost Excellent”

Kingfish is true to their word, they don't bother you during your stay. We were there 4 days and would have liked enough attention to fill the coffee and tea service and replace used cups and glasses, the bathroom sink was not well suited for dishwashing. The room was lovely, very well decorated and a very commfy bed. We didn't get to use the deck because of the rain except for an hour or two on the last morning to step out and take pictures. We knew ahead of time that the breakfast service had stopped for the winter but didn't know that any food service was more than 20 minutes away. With the restaraunt closed there was no one around to ask for any assistance.

“A romantic and enjoyable inn”

We stayed for two enjoyable nights at the Kingfish Inn in the Lodge Pine room. It was very comfortable and had a great view of the harbor. Our only desire would have been for a king size bed....there was plenty of room for one. The breakfasts each morning were incredible gourmet meals. The location is perfect..... Although on the main road it was quiet. You can drive to all points on Orcas Island.

“Great View, Great Food, Great Comfort, Great Vacation!”
Reviewed September 15, 2013 for a stay in September 2013

This location is both a wonderful relaxation destination and an incredible dining location. The rooms are clean and well furnished. The windows and balcony look out onto West Sound harbor and make for a relaxing tableau. Great amenities such high speed internet and HDMI compatible television (for the nerd to hook up their computer for either a little last minute work or perhaps for streaming a movie), but they are tucked away in an armoire so they don't distract from the getaway atmosphere.

Just down below is the West Sound Cafe, truly an excellent spot for delicious food, and the long commute of going down the back stairs! The dinners are a mix of classic good northwest food (I had the carmelized salmon) and fun and creative dishes. While the dinner fare is great, it is the breakfasts that are worth the price of admission. Breakfast is only served to guests of the inn, and is included in your stay. Chef Anthony was the one making breakfast on our visit, and was very approachable and informative about his dishes as well as ready to try something creative. In addition to the classic breakfast. I loved his chorizo and yam hash, and his shimp benedict, but do not fear if you are a little more "traditional" in your tastes, the breakfast potatoes were superb and the bacon was the best I had ever had.

All in all, I would say come and have a wonderful time in the warm and relaxing rooms, or use it as a launching point for your island adventures, and of course, to start the day with an incredible breakfast!
