What can I say? This hotel is awesome! Here on a weeks course which was hard going but coming back each day to the castle made it almost easy. The staff were so friendly and told us great stories. The food is amazing - all local & freshly prepared - thanks Kieren & Rod. You really feel you are in a real castle - lovely old wooden furniture, big old chairs you sink into & the odd ghost story! Function room is almost woderfully refurbished in time for lots of weddings this summer so hope Stuart & all the staff are kept busy. Going back in May for 2 days and already cant wait! Hmmm, will I have the mouth-watering scallops or tender venison in chocolate that is sheer quality. Thanks for everything guys, it was BRILLIANT!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday surprise.
This is a fantastic little castle that looks the part-set in a quiet location.
We had a fantastic large room with 2 sofas and a stunning view of the Sir William Wallace monument.
The four poster bed was very large and comfortable.
Bathroom had a rolltop bath and separate shower-all very clean and I think recently rnovated. We did have aproblem with the toliet not flushing properly but I am sure this will be resolved.
This castle used to be a nursing home and there are still some traces of its former life but there are plans in place for future development and this castle wil only get better.
We had dinner in the restaurant on all three nights and the food is of a good quality.
The staff are discreet but efficient and friendly.
Overall a great stay in a castle that is on the up.

We spent a night here in late november as part of a trip for my birthday and can't say enough good things about this hotel.

The service was very personal, friendly and organised. My husband had mentioned that it was my birthday when he booked, and they wished me happy birthday as we entered the lobby and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner.

Our room was simple, large and clean and we really felt like we were staying in a castle. The bed was huge and very comfortable.

Dinner was an experience that my husband and I will never forget. We had three courses and all were delicious. We were told that all of the produce is sourced locally. We raved so much about the first two courses that the chef came out to chat and then gave us extra dessert.

We stayed in a few castle hotels during this trip and this was not only the cheapest but also our favourite. We can't wait to find an excuse to visit again.

We stayed at Broomhall Castle for one night. The service was outstanding, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the food in the restaurant was very good. We all felt as if the staff bent over backwards to give any service we might need. We had a little trouble flushing the toilet, but they are obviously working on the hotel and I don't expect this is a permanent problem. Workmen were coming in to work on one area of the ground floor as we were checking out, so the Castle is only likely to get better and better.

We stayed for 2 nights and like the majority of the reviews on here our stay was absolutely wonderful.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception there on the 31 October and family close friends stayed over, so there was a large group of us.
All the rooms are different, and no one within our party had any negative comments to make about the staff, venue, rooms or the food. Everybody enjoyed their stay.
Staff are very helpful, the castle is being restored by the current owners and we have already booked again for our 1st Anniversary.
Thanks again for a memorable stay.
