I did not stay there but i went for a pint in the evening. the barman was offhand, unfriendly and clearly didnt want the hassle of customers. My mate and I had a beer nonetheless and sat down to enjoy it. Shortly afterwards a couple arrived and enquired about a meal to be told "we shut at 8 and the nearest place to eat will be Ullapool but they'll be closed too by now". No question of "I could make you a sandwich or even sell you a packet of crisps". They left! next up were a young couple who who asked how long the bar remained open. the answer was "not long, as it is up to me and we aren't busy". I was appalled at the way this place treated people who wanted to spend money. I thought that sort of attitude stopped 50 years ago. very poor. Visit scotland, take note!!

Richard was very friendly, helped us, with our broken tent, was nice to our dog and gave us good advice for our treking tour the next day.
Everthing was at our best.
We could eat at the Bar, beer was cold, food was good.
breaktfast fantastic

If you want remote this is it. No TV. No internet. Quiet. Very much a poorly unplanned extended hotel. This visit was disappointing. Good room. Good view. But food was disappointing. We had stayed here many moons ago. Clearly civilisation has moved on, but this hotel has not. It needs some investment.

We (2 of us) turned up at 7.00pm on a weeknight in June without a booking & asked if the hotel had any rooms. Two members of staff were hanging out in the bar & looked pretty bored but they said that although they had rooms, we couldn't have one as they were "not made up". We offered to wait while they prepared the rooms or even do it ourselves but they refused! How can a hotel in such a remote location afford to turn away guests (= revenue) at the height of the all-too-short Scottish tourist season & expect to stay in business?

We would be interested to hear the owner/ operator's comments.

We'd been on the hill all day and arrived wet, cold and exhausted on the doorstep of the hotel. Richard the owner couldn't have been more welcoming or done more for us.
A hot bath, some good food and a couple of drams were followed by advice on appropriate routes, the best weather forecasts and considerable encouragement for the day ahead! He collected dirty boots and wet clothes in baskets outside our rooms and had everything dry and ready for us in the morning.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and I was really impressed with the genuine, understated Highland hospitality. I'll be back to climb Arkle and book in for a night as a reward.

The Inchnadamph is a lovely wee hotel with clean and comfy rooms and a roaring fire. It was just what I needed after a long day of driving - a warm bed, a bath and a cracking breakfast the next morning! The owners were incredibly friendly (without being overbearing) and knowledgeable about the area and they had plenty of recommendations for places to visit and good places to stop etc. I'd stay here again no questions asked! Highly recommended!

Situated on the shore of Loch Assynt in some of the most stunning scenery in Scotland, this friendly Hotel offers a welcoming atmosphere with superb home cooked food and very attentive staff who although very busy always stop to chat and provide advise and guidance on the local area to the many Hillwalkers and Fishermen who make up the majority of the Hotel's geusts.
A great atmosphere in the bar at night, where everyone mixes well and relates the day's events with a dram and the log fire keeping out the night chill. The rooms are fine and theres tea & coffee provided, a good choice selection is offered at breakfast and evening meal , all home made and excellent, theres also Bar meals in the evening for those who dont want the formality of the restaurant and packed lunches are also available. Several of us have used the Hotel over the years as a base when flyfishing the area which has hundreds of Lochs and some of the most superb trout fishing available in Scotland, we will continue to go back and would highly recommend this Hotel if you are planning a trip in the area.
