“Secluded B&B in beautiful surroundings”
Reviewed August 4, 2013

A warm welcome and a lovely room. Marion and Richard quietly take care of everything with no fuss. Walks from the front door in beautiful unspoilt countryside abounding with wild life. This is a lovely and interesting part of the country and deserves more than the one night we stayed there. Excellent breakfast!

From the moment we arrived & were greeted by our delightful hosts - Marion & Richard, we knew we'd stumbled across an exceptional B&B. Welcomed with tea & homemade scones served in the proper way in the living room, this set the tone for the delights to come. We were immediately made to feel totally at home. Our pretty & tasteful room, the Rose Room, had a huge, very comfortable bed with much appreciated good quality bed linen, duvet & pillows & a spacious bathroom. Extra touches like flowers, robes & fluffy towels, plus mirrors, sockets & lamps in the right places all added to the experience. Everywhere was spotless. DVD's, extra supplies, excellent information about the area were readily available. Breakfast in the dining room with glorious views over the garden is definitely worth getting up for. Homemade jams, local honey - nothing in those ghastly, tasteless, catering vacuum packs - attention to detail all the way. Marion cooks a mean breakfast using top quality ingredients that is far superior to the normal offering. The setting is magical if you relish peace & tranquility & Marion is a mine of information about the best places to go, routes to take, eateries etc. We had a delicious evening meal in the Meet bistro in Denholm on her recommendation. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would love to go back again. Thank you Marion & Richard.

Room Tip: The Rose Room was beautifully presented, with huge, very comfortable bed & spacious bathroom. Du...

It was lovely to have you all to stay and you enjoyed having the comforts of the lounge - as well as the rest of the house and the walk to the top of Ruberslaw. Thank you for your kind comments!

Looking for something a little bit different, we opted for a farm stay B & B, and Billerwell could not have been more perfect. We stayed in the spacious and comfortable 'Rose Room', from where we could see the daffodils blooming, the river rushing by and the Dartmouth ponies grazing down below. Marion and Richard were delightful hosts, who welcomed us graciously into their home, gave us wonderful recommendations for a nearby dinner, served us a delicious breakfast, and even outfitted us with "wellies" so we could go mucking about the fields and woods around the farm. The only issue we had was that our GPS couldn't quite pinpoint Billerwell's location. No problem. A quick call to Marion had us there in no time. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the rewiew - we were so pleased you could enjoy a night with us at Billerwell before flying home. So sorry about the GPS - we know it's a problem in rural areas - so we always make sure where possible that we send directions and if it's a late booking are here to guide you in!

Me and my wife had the pleasure of staying here for the weekend from the 20th to 22nd April for our anniversary. After a long drive (would recommend stopping at West Morland Services which has lovely views) we were greeted by Richard and their dog Mozzie, Richard made us feel very welcome. We even had a cup of tea and lovely scones made for us. I

The farm is immaculate, there's a sitting room to relax in and a dining room for breakfast. Richard took our order for breakfast and arranged a time we wanted to eat. The breakfast on both mornings was lovely. I would recommend the scrambled eggs and salmon! Delicious! Also try the chilli sausages! There very good too!

Our bedroom was beautiful with a big comfy bed, tea, coffee and yummy biscuits! Stunning views too. It was a nice touch having an anniversary card and present waiting for us. We enjoyed coming back after a long day and watching a DVD. The room was spotless and the shower lovely and hot. We especially liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom.

Denholm Meet was gorgeous for an Italian meal. One of the best I have had! Jedburghs definetely worth a visit and we took in Alnwick castle on the way back home. The Treehouse was amazing! Marion was very knowledgeable and gave us the best route there.

Thanks for a brilliant stay! Just what we needed. We will be back!
