We spent one night here for our first anniversary and had the pleasure of enjoying lunch, dinner and then breakfast the following morning. Could not fault the quality of the food, wine or service. Rooms are comfortable, clean and homely. Good value too, would definitely return and have recommended to a number of my friends.

We stayed two nights at Barley Bree and loved everything.
Its a small family run business with a lovely welcoming , local feel and personal touch.
The rooms are very clean and comfortable however the highlight is definately the restaurant. We started with a lovely bottle of temprinello in the lounge area , then moved to the restaurant for the most amazing three course meal, finishing with a creme brulee to die for. The hearty Scottish breakfast was a great follow up the next morning. Not sure when the French chef goes to sleep as there seemed to be lots of wonderful meals at all time of the day and night coming out of the kitchen ?
There is lots to do around the area with lovely drives and walks and fabulous scenery . A wonderful part of Scotland and a fabulous place to spend a few nights wining and dining.

Fantastic hospitality, second only to the exquisite food (and a great wine list). Once you've eaten, drunk and been merry ... roll straight into bed - they haven't scrimped on anything - and when you wake up in the morning and think it was all a dream ... the French chef / owner will rustle up a breakfast fit for a king. If you're not a fan of large faceless hotels... you'll love Barley Bree.

We were having so much fun, we forgot to take any photos (but this was the view from our window)

I spent 2 nights staying at the Barley Bree rooms in Rural Perthshire. At first I had no expectation of where I was staying but from the moment I arrived and where greeted by the owners Fabrice and Alison I instantly felt at home. The rooms themselves where clean and tidy but the highlight was definitely the restaurant, staff and the entire experience.
We dined in the restaurant while we where and were absolutely delighted at the amazing quality of food. I have eaten at many fine restaurants in London and the food at Barley Bree was definitely the best I have had. Fabrice , owner/chef does a first class of running the kitchen on his own. The restaurant was fully booked out on the Sat night when we dined and the ombience was just great. The service we received from Brian and Alison was first class also. The sitting room is a great idea also to sit down and relax before dinner or if you just feel like a glass of wine! I would definitely recommend returning here again in the future.

This place is amazing. It's located in a small town in the heart of some of the loveliest scenery in Scotland.
We only stayed one night but it would have been great to stay longer.
The food was absolutely delicious, the service friendly and the wine list extensive.
Will definately by coming back for more!
Good luck for the future Fabrice and Alison you're doing brilliant things!
Superb by the way!
