Three nights stay. Wonderful quiet location.
We were in the smallest room - still large enough for our needs. Furniture and fittings are new and all top quality. Lovely view from the room. The whole place has a classy feel.
The welcome and service were exemplary. Emma does evening meals on an ad-hoc basis (it's not advertised). The one we had was excellent - a few things done really well.
The only room for improvement is the packaged butter/jam/honey at breakfast - a place of this quality could have pots where you serve yourself. If that's my only gripe, you can understand how much I rate this place.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great.

Stayed 3 nights at Mingarry. Had a stunning room with magnificent views of Loch Sheil and Ben Resipole. Guest house is only a couple of years old and done out to the highest of standards.
Agree with all the fellow reviewers who gave it top marks. Ample of places to eat out locally, ranging from good basic pub meals to smart restaurants. Sandy coves at nearby Ardtoe a must if lucky enough to get good weather, which we had.

After searching long and hard for a reasonably priced and modern place to stay in West Scotland we came across this Mingarry and were impressed by such good reviews. It did not disappoint- great location with stunning views, warm welcome, delicious breakfasts. The rooms are modern, well designed and spotlessly clean. Their website is very informative and honest. Emma and John gave us some tips on places to eat and visit which was great. We will without doubt come and stay again. Perfect couples getaway! Traveler tip: visit the beach and castle just 5-10 minute drive away.

Room Tip: Go to their website for thorougher descriptions of the rooms.

We stayed at the Mingarry Park Guest House for 7 nights last week and were warmly welcomed by the owner Emma. The accommodation is tastefully decorated throughout and in a beautiful area of Scotland. The food and service provided by Emma and her sister Nicola was excellent with a good selection for breakfast. We stayed in for one of the evening meals, which was excellent. Emma was very helpful and always willing to oblige with information. We are looking forward to a return visit in the future. In the mean time we are recommending Mingarry Park to all our friends and family.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Mingarry Park Guest House for the duration of three nights. The reason we had initially considered staying at this Guest House was due to its location, as we had planned on exploring the surrounding area. However, after reading a number of its positive reviews, we were keen to book as soon as possible. Following our booking, I contacted the owners directly for advice about local places to eat as we wanted to plan a little in advance so as to avoid disappointment. The owner was more than happy to assist and provided us with with a few options, which we found to be very helpful. We decided to take the owner's advice and we were so grateful for doing so, as we enjoyed a few outstanding meals. We ate in a place called The Whitehouse Restaurant in Lochaline and Ardshelach Lodge in Acharacle, where the food was of very high standards.
In relation to the Guest House, we found this to be a very welcoming environment. The house was beautifully decorated and of a very good standard. We had booked the Roshven Deluxe Room, which we were very pleased with as the room was spacious and provided enough room for us to stay the short break. As we had opted for Bed & Breakfast we enjoyed freshly cooked meals each morning. The food was enjoyable and set us up for our days out walking. As we had breakfast each morning and were keen to explore the surrounding area, we didn't eat dinner in the Guest House. However given the standard of breakfasts I can imagine that dinners would also be of a good standard.
During our stay we had ongoing contact with the female owner, whom we found to be very friendly and efficient. Unfortunately we only spoke with the male owner on the day we were leaving and perhaps could have benefited from his wealth of knowledge of the local area. However this is not a criticism to the owners, merely a point that may benefit other visitors.
It is likely that we will return to this area again and should we return we would be keen to return to Mingarry Park.

Room Tip: Roshven Deluxe Room was of a very good standard.

We stayed at the Mingarry Guest House for one night on our way to the Isle of Mull. The hotel was easy to find and was in a lovely location with beautiful views out over the surrounding countryside. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We opted to have the evening 3-course meal which was very good, using local produce. The breakfast was equally enjoyable and ensured we were fuelled for the day ahead. The service was excellent throughout and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place.
