Had a fantastic 4 night stay in a 2 bedroomed Clova lodge. The rooms are large and well fitted out, the kitchen has everything that you need (including salt and pepper) to cook a full meal if needed, although it is a very short stroll to the hotel where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner. After an early morning walk up to Loch Brandy (start from the hotel car park) it was great to return and ease the muscles in the outdoor hot tub. It was great to lie in the tub and look at the fantastic scenery and watch the swallows swooping down close to the lodge. Unfortunately the tub was not warm enough to use the first evening but there was the large sauna to use instead. Wakened to the sound of sheep in the adjoining fields each morning. Even when the weather closed in the scenery with the clouds hanging over the hills was great. Went home totally relaxed and looking forward to returning for another stay early next year. The lodges/hotel are situated in the Angus glens and there are great walks suitable for all.

After a morning cycling through Glen Clova it was great to meet up with the rest of the family who had gone hill walking at this lovely hotel. The staff were welcoming, the menu was interesting and varied and the food when it came was well presented, hot a very tasty. The hotel could not be situated in a better setting, the hills that surround it must be some of the most interesting in the east of Scotland. The run in is long, twisting and narrow but the end result is well worth it. A great choice by my son in law, we will return. The hotel has a number of family lodges next to the main building, these looked good.

Guys fishing trip. Stayed in the hostel part of the hotel. We paid £17 per person plus an addition £8 for breakfast. The rooms were basic yet clean. Our room had 4 beds, a shower and a toilet. Beds were small. I'm 6ft and my feet were out the end of the bed. Bedding was provided and was clean.

We used the hotel both nights for food and drink. Food was nice with a good selection of dishes on the menu. Bar was well stocked with a good variety of beers, ciders etc. There's a games room with a pool table and dart board right beside the bar. We spent most of our time in here.

Staff were great. Really friendly, flexible and helpful. Allowed us to eat in the bar to watch the football on the TV. Breakfast was what you would expect. A selection of cereals, fruit juice with the choice of hot dishes inc full breakfast. Coffee and tea provided, including refills.

No Sky TV although they did have WiFi. This was patchy throughout the hotel.

Enjoyed my time here and would definitely use again.

After several hours walking through and over Corrie Fee we decided to stop off for a meal and a drink on our way home. The food was fantastic, the staff very welcoming and the prices reasonable. This was a fantastic end to a brilliant day.

Spent a few nights here with our family-9 in total- and had a Fabulous time. Food was really wonderful, think the pâté is the best I've ever had. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Staff were all wonderful and went out of their way to be helpful and go the extra mile- really makes all the difference. Can't wait to go back. Nothing was too much trouble and the proprietors were so helpful too.
