“Wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting”

Cosy, well-equipped, luxurious and unique. Friendly, welcoming owners who could not have done more to help us and make our holiday memorable. Good central location for travelling round Northern Ireland.

“Perfect holiday base in Mid-Ulster”
Reviewed October 6, 2016 for a stay in October 2016

The cottage is in a secluded location in a beautiful garden by a river, but within a three to four minute walk of the main street in Castledawson (home to the wonderful Ditty's Bakery). It is only three miles from the recently opened Seamus Heaney 'HomePlace': an arts centre with an excellent interactive exhibition celebrating the poet's life and achievements (with a special area for children), and a programme of literary, theatre and music events throughout the year. The owners of the cottage, Robin and Julie, were most welcoming, and could not have been more helpful throughout our stay. The cottage is extremely comfortable, furnished to a very high standard, situated in a beautiful location. Highly recommended.

“Abundant Beauty in Northern Ireland!”
Reviewed August 30, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I stayed at Bridge Cottage with my brother, mother and 5 year old son for only a few days on my visit to Northern Ireland but I must say it was perfect! I can't wait to return hopefully one day soon.

The cottage is quaint and cute and derives its name from the picturesque bridge that is situated right next to the property. The king bed upstairs was glorious! I was so well rested. My brother stayed on one of the pull out couches and was happy as well. There is a small but well designed kitchen and a cute living room on the lower level. It was so cute I couldn't get over the place! Wonderful washroom too. Every detail was thought out and it was such a pleasure to stay there.

The grounds are stunning! There are gardens upon gardens. There is a gazebo that is fully encased in glass with a fireplace tucked away in the back of the second large garden that oversees the river that runs parallel to the property. There are pathways and a pond on the property as well. My son was in heaven. It is like a fairytale property. As we were there in mid August, we were able to enjoy the meteor showers at night in the gardens. Great memories!

The owner, Robin was so amazingly helpful too. He was warm and welcoming and also had a small welcoming committee of three lovely dogs. He was very knowledgeable of the town and surrounding areas. He was able to recommend restaurants and activities in the area too. He showed us around one of the private estates close by, and told us stories of the area. Really was such a pleasure dealing with him.

The town is lovely and there are all your essential needs. There are restaurants, shops, pubs and grocers within a few minutes walk and on the other side of the river from the cottage is a golf course. The bridge itself is beautiful and the grounds on the other side are picture perfect. There is an old cemetery and lovely lands.

All in all I was beyond happy with our stay at this charming cottage. It is great fro family, friends and children. If you're looking for a quaint stay, in a lovely town in Northern Ireland then I highly recommend Bridge Cottage!

“Amazing Spot ”
Reviewed May 15, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

An amazing cottage, with tons of atmosphere. A minute's walk from town but the massive garden and stunning river views make you feel like your miles from anywhere. A friendly owner and some nice mod cons (big tv, sky, xbox) round off the experience nicely. Highly recommended.

“Quaint and well equipped cottage with a great host.”
Reviewed April 21, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

We spent a very relaxing 10 days in Bridge Cottage. Robin was the consummate host and really took care of us.
The cottage was well-equipped and lovely and warm. The Aga was great and we used it to cook on several times.
The location is excellent and we enjoyed the garden which is right by the Moyola river.
We would heartily recommend this cottage to anyone and you won't find a friendlier or more helpful host than Robin.
