“Great fun”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

Spectacular views and great fun. Lovely little steam train and friendly helpful staff. Loved the smells of the steam train and the sounds as it trundles along with the sea on one side and the hills, and marshland on the other.

“Make memories”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

Revisited after 50 years, still wonderful, the smell of steam trains so nostalgic. Run by very friendly volunteers, would highly recommend... Take the ferry to Barmouth at the end of the line...

“A small train with big mountains and sea views”
Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

It was a beautyfull sunny day when we visited and the scenery was at its best!
This is probably one of the smallest little railways but as it wanders through Fairbourne then along the dunes to the point the scenery is fantastic
The cadair Idris range towers above looking very majestic and the view of Barmouth bridge and harbour stunning.
On arrival at the point we took the ferry across to Barmouth the boat may be small but well worth it!
Overall we found all the staff friendly and welcoming
