Very nice hotel within walking distance of the beach and the mountains on the other side, clean rooms with all necessary facilities, friendly and helpful owners, especially recommended

Alvin's catch-phrase "Is everything OK for you?" sums up how well he and David care for their guests, yet in an unobtrusive, gentle manner. Nothing is too much trouble. We were welcomed with a cup of tea and they took mental note that I liked mine weak and milky and always provided a jug of hot water and copious quantites of milk for me for the rest of our stay!

The rooms are tastefully decorated and beautifully clean. There were always suggestions of places to visit, places to eat and genuine interest in how our day had been, when we returned.

We stayed in two different rooms as the one with the sea view wasn't available for the whole week. Both were lovely. The sea view is good but the other side of the building is pretty quiet and has the stunning hill to look at.

We spent our week on steam trains and walking, but mainly relaxing in a peaceful atmosphere. We would thoroughly recommend Einion House and its hard-working hosts to anyone wanting a welcoming, comfortable place to stay in this area.

Einion House is in an out of the way location with lovely views over the mawdach estuary to Barmouth, very close to the fabulous Blue Flag Fairbourn beach. Alvin & David made us feel so welcome and 'at home' we felt like we had lived there for months. Two great guys. The only and I must emphasise the 'ONLY' drawback to Einion house is it's location in relation to reasonable restaurants there is an Indian Restaurant in Fairbourn but then it is a 15-20 minute drive to the next one down the road in either direction. As I say this really is the only drawback, and it is more than made up for by the standard of the accomodation, the location, the hosts and the service.

This was our first visit but it will not be our last. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. The room was clean and had magnificant views of the estuary looking towards Barmouth. Breakfast was excellent. The owners were superb and helped us with local travel arrangements in order to walk the Dolgellau railway walk.

We were warm welcomed by the host. After a cup of tea we were shown around the beautiful historic and lately renovated house.
Even though the bedrooms have been furnished simple, every room was clean and lovely decorated. Nothing lacked e.g. the tea and coffee making facilities, Flatscreen TV and plenty of leaflets for good trips out. One of our rooms even had seaview. The En Suite Bathrooms were up to date and clean too.
Due to the close location to the sea we were able to walk to the beach within 15 Min. The hosts served us a rich Welsh Breakfast in a nice and little room with a view of a huge field and sea. The price performance ratio was very good! We were doing a round trip and we would have loved to stay a little longer.
