“How can you improve on 'perfect'?”
Reviewed September 2, 2012

Just back from this year's stay at Einion House, and Alvin and David have done it again. They obviously have no concept of the phrase 'resting on one's laurels' and have continued to develop their wonderful Guest House beyond what was already perfection, constantly upgrading fixtures and fittings with the highest quality materials - no falling into the trap of skimping on bathroom or bedroom furniture or paintwork, no scrawny towels like you get elsewhere, just a feeling of complete luxury. Even the quality of the verge-parking has been improved since last year. Add to all that the perfectly-cooked breakfast, again with the finest ingredients, together with the unparalled location at the mouth of the stunning Mawddach Estuary (featured in both Julia Bradbury's 'Railway Walks' and the BBC's 'Coast') - not forgetting the fantastic Fairbourne miniature railway - and you have a guest-house experience which surely couldn't be bettered. I'll be there again as soon as I can escape!

Needed somewhere to stay near to family and could not have been luckier in finding Einion House. I can't think of anything David and Alvin could do to improve the excellent service they provide - from the cup of tea made for me on arrival to the way the bedrooms are appointed and the wonderful cooked breakfast. Whole place extremely well-presented and immaculately clean - and nothing too much trouble. I want to go there again!

Room Tip: Wonderful views from the back of the house

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Einion House. Our hosts Alvin and David were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable, and spotlessly clean with great attention to detail, The breakfast was absolutely delicious, we look forward to staying again and would highly recommend staying here to our family and friends.

This small hotel is run by very welcoming hosts who are attentive to every detail. The room was exceptionally clean with a wonderful view across the bay and towards the mountains.Duvets, sheets and towels were pristine. Breakfasts were hearty and delicious, dietary requests were no problem.
The hosts were helpful and very knowledgeable about the local area, facilities and attractions.

Room Tip: All rooms have a good view.

The room was very clean and nice. The staff service was really kind. They helped me to plan our mountain excursion for the next days. The price is relatively high compared to my standard. Anyway, it seems to me that prices are high in the entire zone of the south Snowdonia park. The location is very nice. The Barmouth bridge walk is very close to the place and also the walk to the blue lake is suggestive and very close. The WiFi connection was good, the hall contains a lot of books and maps of the surrounding zone, which is really good when you want to plan your mountain excursion.

Room Tip: SeaView room: room and bathroom are large. I couldn't enjoy the sea view because of the very b...
