We have stayed here on several occasions as an overnight stop when travelling/returning from further afield. It’s about 20 minutes drive from the motorway and just about reached in a days drive from Calais so it’s a welcome rest after a long day in the car. Set in rural Burgundy close to a small village it a very pleasant relaxed site that offers accommodation from the usual suspects (Eurocamp, Canvas etc) and plenty of touring space for caravans and tents. The weather has always been good when we’ve stayed – hot with bright sunshine.

The site is set around a very old chateau which houses a restaurant and take away. There’s a nice outdoor pool which gets busy, and a smaller indoor pool which tends to be full of kids. Next to this is a small courtyard with information, a bar/café, small shop and bike rental. Typical French the site is well spread out with trees providing separate areas plus a couple of lakes, the facilities for campers are good.

As we were only staying a night we didn’t get the chance to explore the area but there looked to be loads to see and do. We did have a walk down to the wide Saone river where there was an Auburge (pub), the village is an enjoyable walk – look out for the old Citroen 2CV being used as a plant pot. I didn’t see any facilities of any kind in the village (likely to be too small) but there are several small towns about 10 minutes drive away which are likely to have shops etc.

A very nice site, would be nice to spend al title longer here.
