Stayed for one evening to attend the MG Dragon Run. An excellent choice, friendly staff, good food and a very pleasant atmosphere. The Dining Room was full and the local's friendly. Selection of beers and cask ales aswell. Our room was comfortable and the beds fine. Lots of tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was good, and cooked to order. Worth a visit!.

Stayed here to visit Builth Wells Antique Fair and was not disappointed. Great pub, staff extremely helpful, friendly and pleasant. Food extremely well cooked especially the steaks and the breakfasts cooked to order. Room okay, everything you need for a good nights sleep. Lovely village to stroll through. Would gladly stay there again just for the steaks offered on the menu. For the price charged for B&B a bargain.

the room was cosy plenty of tea and coffee, the bathroom was clean (i always check that kind of thing first) the door to the en-suite didnt close to well but that didnt detract from the stay at all, the staff were so friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them... service with a smile all the time

we travelled to The Talbot to celebrate a friends birthday, the welcome was wonderful, the food was excellent i cant praise it enough, both Mark and Jackie were great hosts and made us want to return again

and we will stay again :)

Lovely clean hotel, made very welcome on our arrival and this continued through our stay.
Old fashioned Hotel but very well cared for and of the style that we like because it had character.
Food and drink of an excellant standard.
We will certainly visit again and will recommend it to friends.
Extremely good value for money.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the Talbot - we found it to be in a charming and secluded location. The room was great (ask for room 6), the staff were very friendly and very helpful and the value was also spot on. Highly recommended
