The Boat House is by far the best place we have stayed. Really does live up to all the good reviews. Pet friendly, spotlessly clean, and space is plentiful for a large party. The pretty bedrooms are light and airy, with the most comfortable beds and pillows. Kitchen is fully equipped and of an excellent standard. You would no trouble cooking a full roast dinner. Everything has been thought of. Not to mention the lovely generous welcome hamper/prosecco...We felt truly spoilt with all the kind extras.. Solva is a special place we often visit. There are easy walks down to the Harbour from the Boat House. Maps and tips are all provided in the Cottage if you need them. We drove to Broad Haven and then Little Haven had lunch in the Swan.. Lovely food and pet friendly too. There is so much to do in Solva whether it’s just walking and relaxing or if you are more adventurous coasteering/surfing at Newgale. We particularly enjoy the pretty walks around Solva Harbour and to end the day a drink in the Harbour Inn on the front.
Also want to mention we Love all the Welsh touches throughout the Cottage and as we have stayed with you before, I must have mentioned that I liked the cushions by Emma Isles / Seaforth Design and then last Christmas I had a lovely surprise as my partner bought me one of her cushions .. Mr Fox. A lovely reminder of our time in Solva ...Thanks Dolores and Fraser we had a wonderful time.. keep up the good work .. we will be back again soon.
Boathouse Cottage is a wonderful place to stay, particularly suiting a family. The accommodation is immaculate, thoughtfully designed and fully equipped. The owners, Dolores and Fraser, are friendly and helpful. We had a couple of problems while we were these, and they sorted these out as quickly and efficiently as was possible. The garden has great views to the sea (though unfortunately the weather for us was not too great), and it is a short walk down to the quay, and to the spectacular coast path.
This is the best rental I have stayed in. Attention to detail amazing. Beautiful setting. Lovely calm space. I forgot my toothbrush and even found a dental kit in the cupboard. Hamper of local produce delightful. Even a Christmas tree up. Thank you Dolores for making a holiday special.
Thank you very much for making our holiday enjoyable. We loved the house it was very comfortable and very well equipped, all you paintings and other personal touches were all admired and appreciated. We hope we will be able to return again sometime.
We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years but this was the very best. A beautifully furnished and decorated home from home with everything thought about. I did not want to go home. Elegant and relaxing, clean as it could possibly be, a welcome hamper with yummy goodies, attention to detail like I have never seen before. The owner popped in to see us and was really lovely, nothing too much trouble. I want to go back again and soon !!
The owners have clearly put a lot of thought into making Boathouse cottage a wonderful place to stay.It is equipped and furnished to a very high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We found a lovely food hamper and Easter goodies waiting for us on our arrival and they were much appreciated. Pembrokeshire itself also has much to offer and we wholeheartedly recommend Boathouse cottage as a place to explore it from.
We stayed for a week with our son/daughter and 2 grandchildren. The house was absolutely fantastic, with an Easter theme and Easter gifts for the children and a lovely local hamper.
The owner has gone beyond what is expected and we cannot overstate how nice our stay was as words can only describe so much but actually it was beyond that.
Attention to detail was superb and everything was available for a fantastic holiday.
We will be very sad to go home but there are plenty of times in the future where we can come down again.
A walk down to the harbour is a real treat, when the tide is fully out there is a large area of sand for the children and our dog loved it. From the house there are plenty of walks. For those wanting more than walks and locality Carew Castle is great for children, the Lifeboat at St Davids is new and well worth a visit. St Davids is only a 15 minute drive, a lovely City without the big store names ruining an easy going area. Cathedral very imposing.
Spent quite a bit of time on the sea wall with our grandson crabbing, most we caught in one session was 10.
Worth a million pounds in memories.
