We travelled down to Tenby in June 2013, We were extremelly lucky to have boiling hot weather all week.
We paid a very little price for the week, just £179 for the Caravan!
The site really is lovely, very well kept and has Beautiful views of the sea and Caldey Island.
Its a small commute into Tenby town so not ideal if you do not have your car with you.
The beach on site is lovely- A little rocky you must wear shoes but it's a great beach.
The clubhouse was a very nice drinks wernt overpriced and the Menu looked good although we didn't eat there.
Our only issue was family who stayed in another Caravan where not positioned close to us, and the Caravan got invaded by ants! But the Lydstep team did quickly move them into an incredible show caravan, it was unreal it even had a dishwasher, washing machine about 3 bathrooms!

Great place, hope to go back summer 2014

Room Tip: Ask for a Caravan overlooking the beach, amazing views to wake up to in the morning and eat your breakfast on the deck!

We stayed here last weekend, friday to Monday the first weekend of half term. We booked with Haven as we've stayed at some of their other sites before. Booking was simple and stress free.
We booked a mid-range van (deluxe) which stated no heating, just a gas fire in the lounge, so I was a little wary when we set off in the cold and dark! We rang to say that we'd be arriving late due to travelling down after work, and staff were very helpful and friendly.
On arrival, we were swiftly given keys and directed to our van. Again, quick and easy.
The caravan itself was a a lovely surprise. We must have been upgraded. Central heating, modern interior, very spacious (much more impressive that the online photos I'd booked) and in a prime seafront location with amazing views.
The site itself is immaculate. Having stayed at other Haven sites, we found this to be really impressive. It's very well kept and set in a beautiful spot. It wasn't very 'haven-y' as in there weren't haven signs or redcoats but this actually added to the charm and appeal of the place.
The manor house area is lovely with a great bar and entertainment area - not huge but we had no problem getting a table (although it was at the end of the season). Food was good and not too overpriced. The £2.95 breakfast was excellent value.
On the SAturday night a Halloween party had been organised. Lydstep rang us a few days before our break to tell us about this so that we knew to pack costumes for the kids - this was really appreciated. The party was great, a warm and friendly feel, perfect entertainment fo our 5yr old and toddler and free food for the kids, all at no extra charge.
Our daughter enjoyed the planned art activities during the day, and her and my husband said that although the pool was nothing special they had fun in the pool.
There was a visit from a local bird sanctuary too, again free of charge to handle the birds of prey.
We found the entertainment to more than adequate even at the end of the season. Whether there would be enough at the height of the summer for a longer stay, I'm not sure. But we were more than happy during our break.
As others have mentioned, it has a very private feel and is geared towards owners. However as holiday makers we were very much welcomed and found the resort to have a warm and friendly feel. We saw this as a postive rather than a negative. I would love to own a van here!
We will definitely return. We loved the site and its a great base for fabulous Pembrokeshire. We would probably look to hire a van with an owner next time though in hope of finding it more cost effective.

Room Tip: We stayed in van 105 which was lovely and modern and in a great location. I think it was in a section called 'Beach Drive' - vans here have excellent views.

I stayed here from the 21st to the 28th September with my wife and in laws, including 6 nephews and nieces ranging from 2-14. This was my second static caravan experience and was considerably better than the first. Caravan was clean and comfortable.

There has been a lot of reviews commenting on the entertainment. I think this is due to the time of year. However the entertainment manager did bend of backwards to entertain the children (and big children) that were present from playing hide and seek with two kids to playing a list of party dances provided by my family. I have been told that this park is not as big as some, so do your research as to what it is you want from haven before booking.

The location is amazing! with its private beach and short steep climb up the cliff path the views are amazing. The area particularly around Tenby is amazing and oozing with history.

Great experience.

We have been to many caravan sites in the past but this one trumps them all. Beautiful views, your own private beach, a great clubhouse, it's very clean and the staff are extremely friendly. We now go here around three times a year, a truly fantastic caravan park.

My god, I can not believe the people who moaned about this park. We just returned from Lydstep and we loved it, we have stayed before for a break for my wife's birthday as we did this year. It is a really lovely park, this time we paid for the passes so we could visit the pool and club house, the staff there are really fabulous and could not be more helpful. We ate there four times including a Sunday lunch, we did not expect much due to the number of guests eating but the lunch was fab. We usually go to the Lydstep tavern for lunch but as the Ironman completion was on it meant the road was closed so we thought we would give the club house a try and glad we did. The breakfast also at £2.99 is just a gem of a bargain, sat at the table overlooking the pool it was divine. Ok, when we arrived for the key 30 minutes early we were met by a surly young girl who without looking up said "your early" - "come back at 2.00pm" I thought oh dear is this how it is going to be but fear not the other staff were really lovely especially the staff taking drinks and food orders, they could not have been more helpful as was the pool attendants, felt really guilty when we were the only ones in the pool and they then have to sit on the lifeguard chair, they must get bored :-) We have just booked for the same week next year for my wife's birthday. The caravan was really a bargain and very well appointed with a smashing view of the bay. All in all a great time again at this park. The complainants should really get a life, if you read some of the negative reviews you just wonder what they were expecting. Yes the pool is only open for owners between 08.30 and 9.30 which I think is very fair but you have the rest of the day to swim for goodness sake and anyway the cost of these caravans deserve some perks!.
