We stayed at Highlands over the May Bank Holiday weekend; 4 adults and 3 boys aged 2, 6 and 8. There was plenty of space for the children, both in the house and in the garden, which they loved. The house itself had everything we needed for a cosy and comfy stay - the beds in particular were really comfy!
It was a great base from which to explore beautiful Pembroke: Pembroke castle, fish and chips on the beach in Tenby and a walk round Stackpole lily ponds would be our top tips!
All in all a brilliant family get together at a lovely house, and we hope to be back in the future.
We stayed at Highlands with my brother’s family and my mother over the Easter holiday and the property was perfect for two families with children. There is plenty of living space for everyone to feel comfortable and a lovely garden that kids could play in happily and where we could keep an eye on them from the conservatory.
The house also has a very nice kitchen with an island in the middle, perfect for chat and a glass of wine while cooking and then a very spacious dining room and large table which made meal times a pleasure.
Highlands is in a great location with plenty of attractions such as Folly Farm, Dinosaur Land and Blue Lagoon within a 30 minute drive. You can also walk from the house down a quiet lane to Lydstep beach while other fantastic beaches and walks are only five minutes by car. Tenby is also ten minutes’ drive away with the wonderful harbour setting. In summary, Highlands has all the home comforts you could ask for and Gary was a most welcoming host.
This location is great, in the village with a traditional pub, there is a spa and golf course all within walking distance. You can walk from the house down a quiet lane to the beach and the cliff walks, the views just have to be seen. Even in November my week was amazing. Tenby is minutes away with the wonderful harbour setting. Highlands has all the home comforts you could ask for.
