I can't rate the Oriel Milgi highly enough. Out hosts Helen and Anne made us very welcome and went out of their way to not only recommend places to visit but to also book us tables in excellent local restaurants. The B&B itself has been stylishly decorated with lots of individual touches and some fabulous art. Our room was excellent and the bed was so comfortable (with lovely linen) that we struggled to get up in the morning. However, the breakfast is well worth getting up for and was a great start to the day before exploring the local area.

Helen and Anne deserve all their excellent reviews. We will definitely return.

This is a stylish b and b in a beautiful house. It has been beautifully restored, a lot of thought going in to decoration and planning. Room was a good size. Helen and Anne were excellent hosts, lots of suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Excellent hosts. A lovely stay - I look forward to visiting again. One of the best b and bs we have stayed in.

Happy to find this stylish jewel B&B in Wales and stayed for 3 nights thanks to our hosts, Helen and Anne, who were so kind to have us in that weekend as they were supposed to be closed. Lots of tips from them about what to visit and where to find local products or where to have a nice meal. We stayed in the Coed room which has a superking sized comfortable bed: nicely decorated bedroom, spacious and clean and lovely modern bathroom. Tea and (French pressed) coffee were available in the room, as well as water if you wanted to. From St. Dogmaels you can easily walk to the next town, Cardigan, for about 20 minutes where you have a wider range of shops and cafes.
Breakfast was a great opportunity to taste local Welsh produces (jam, dry seaweed, yoghurt, haloumi cheese) and chat with our host who was genuinely kind and helpful with regards to visit the local area.
They are also animal lovers and also welcome people with friendly dogs :)
There are maps and books you can read downstairs to know where to go hiking or what to visit in the area.
A lovely B&B I would definitely recommend and where I would love to go back to.

Room Tip: If you come by car, tell them in advance and you should be able to park in front of the B&B. Al...

We were fortunate to be guests at Oriel Milgi for 2 nights. Everything was perfect. The B&B was easy to find. Helen and Anne welcomed us with genuine hospitality offering tea upon arrival. Our room was beautifully decorated with attention to detail and the bathroom was very modern and included bath salts.
Breakfast was a treat ... freshly cooked and using local produce.
The guest lounge was welcoming with books to browse and the daily newspapers. A good place to relax.
We would love to return to Oriel Milgi

Room Tip: If you must have a quiet and for quality sleep it may be best to ask for a back room.

When walking the Pembrokeshire Coast Path this summer, we had the opportunity to stay at a number of lovely places. Nothing made us disappointed. Still Oriel Milgi stood out from the rest. It was the way the place was decorated and furnished and how Helen and Anne had considered every small detail in the rooms and given them a personal touch. And for breakfast there was plenty of locally produced foodstuff. Oriel Milgi lacked nothing! Our hosts were most welcoming and service-minded, eager to give us all the recommendations and help we needed. We had a question about a bus for our departure the next day, and the next minute Anne had printed out some timetables for us. One of the best places I have stayed at ever!

Fortunately Oriel Milgi is not a stereotypical boutique B&B - instead it offers far more authentic home comforts where guests (and dogs) can relax and enjoy Helen and Anne’s welcoming and stylish home. We stayed in the Coed Room between May 19 -21 2013 and enjoyed a very relaxing and peaceful stay. Helen and Anne are great hosts, achieving the perfect balance to make us feel welcome without being intrusive. We stayed in the Coed Room, which can be a twin or double. It was spacious and very comfortable with a great ‘wet-room’ ensuite. The breakfast was delicious with locally sourced food along with imaginative vegetarian options. The property is perfectly situated in the heart of this charming and interesting village with easy walks to stunning, unspoilt sandy beaches. It is also convenient for Cardigan town with its range of independent shops and places to eat, and an arts centre, Theatr Mwldan, which offers both theatre and film. There is plenty to do for a short break, even out of the summer season, this is a great ‘get-away’ option.

Room Tip: We loved the Coed room.

Just back from a two night stay at this lovely B&B with our dog. Helen and Ann could not have been more welcoming and their enthusiasm for the area is contagious. The atmosphere was very relaxed which is just what we like. We are already planning our next stay.
