What a superb way to while away an hour and fill your senses with a glimpse of the Neath valley from the Thomas Dadford, the public trip barge of the Neath & Tennant Canals Trust. Run and crewed entirely by a small band of enthusiastic volunteers, who will delight you with tales from the canal's past as you cruise the tranquil waters up to the No.1 lock at Tonna, if you are lucky, you will glimpse Kingfishers and Dippers along the way.
Really family friendly. The charges are only £4 for adults and £2 for children, for an hour long cruise in a very pretty little barge that seats 12 passengers.
