Friendly restaurant with a bistro feel. Three of us ate from the Carribean menu- mild options are still very tasty and spicy options fantastic! All food was fresh and good quality. Great service with very laid back friendly owners- steel bands on last friday of the month too! We'll definitely be going again.

After the meal we just had,I shall be putting the cooker on E-bay tomorrow, I have just had a foody moment ( It takes something special to achieve this). House curry was my choice and my wife had chicken in peppercorn sauce.
The curry was special as was the chicken my wife had,it was cooked perfectly and tasted exquisite----

friendly -- clean --- good value--- stunning meal

will be back

Celebrated husbands birthday tonight. Jerome our waiter was friendly and helpful. Excellent and prompt service. Food was delicious, I had the Jerk chicken and hubby had the Negril beef, really lovely and cooked well. The Red Stripe flowed to the reggae music. Will definitely be return customers, just great!!!

Well worth a visit. You'll go once and you'll be planning your next visit by the time you get home. First class service from Jerome - very friendly and helpful. Great food, nice menu it's got it all. We had starters from the Jamaican menu and mains from the steakhouse menu - nicest meal we have had in a long time. Have never written a review before but this place is special and felt that everyone needs to know. It's a must visit. We went as a couple so are now planning to take all the family, hopefully to a steel band night. Jo & John of Skewen. X

Well, what can I say?

Heard some positive reviews about Jamaican Jills, so we booked a table for 8 recently. When booking the table, we were advised to email over our orders so we wouldn't have to wait long for food - great.

When we turned up, we were whisked through Buffalo Bills downstairs up a long ascending corridor. As we walked in to the restaurant upstairs we were greeting by a steel band playing, great decor & friendly staff.

Some of our party had the rum slushies which they enjoyed, and few others settled for an obligatory 'Red Stripe' beer.

As we had emailed over our order a few days in advance, the starters came out very quickly, which was very welcome. Everyone loved the starters, but the only criticism would be that the lettuce rolls weren't rolls at all, it was a scattering of assorted small salad leaves - so it was impossible to make the rolls! But aside from that everything we ordered (ribs, lettuce rolls, black bean patties etc) were fantastic.

I honestly couldn't tell you how long it took between the starter & main course, as we were having such a great time. The steel band gave a great atmosphere & were playing a selection of reggae & more contemporary hits.

The mains came and again, everything was fantastic. We ordered dishes such as Negril Beef, Jerk Chicken, Espedatas, Indian Meze - and I went for the Curried Goat, which was simply amazing.

In summary, the food is brilliant & the service is also fantastic. I'd wholly recommend going here, particularly on the evenings where they've got the steel band entertainment.

Will definitely be returning.

Thanks very much for your kind review and we are pleased that the Pre-order system worked well for you we have started to trial that now through our app and online to alleviate the waiting time that others have found difficult. As our food is freshly cooked, the solution with big tables we find is Pre-ordering. Just one clarification, the starter wasn't lettuce rolls it was reggae leaves. Which is in fact described on the menu as minced beef on gem lettuce leaves. Thank you for not holding the fact that you couldn't roll the beef against us. We certainly enjoyed serving your table and look forward to seeing you again soon!
