“A great hotel”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Stayed here for 2 nights. Nice clean, good size room and bathroom, the pull-out wardrobes are a great idea. Good location in the centre of Neath. Pleasant and helpful staff. We were on the first floor but at the back of the hotel, so had no noise at all from the main street. Good choice for the continental breakfast. The cooked breakfasts are all done to order and are of a very good standard and very tasty.. The only slight drawback with the Bluebell is the lack of parking spaces. There is a small indoor one, and a larger outdoor one, we parked in the latter after a bit of manoeuvring to get into s tight space. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evenings, but did have a drink there on the first night. Drinks about average price. Would stay here again.

What a Gem. This hotel has everything right. Excellent value. The staff, service, the room and food were outstanding in every way. We spent 4 nights here and loved it. Will definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone.

Room Tip: Had a large superior room at the front of the hotel on the first floor.

This was our 2nd visit as we enjoyed the first visit so much.
Rooms are modern, well equipped, clean and spacious. Beds are comfortable and roomy. Bathrooms are modern and the showers are fantastic with no problems with water running cold half way through.
La Mancha restaurant is superb with a good choice of options available for both evening dining and breakfast where most options and beverages are served by waiting staff which is preferable to buffet and means everything is freshly cooked.
I am a particularly difficult customer when it comes to dining but the options available here suited my needs and nothing was too much trouble for the staff when asked.
My only criticisms of this bijou, boutique hotel is the limited parking facilities and unfortunately as it is located in the centre of the town if you have rooms to the front of the hotel then you will be subjected to quite a lot of noise from people in the main street which is a shame as on the whole I would heartily recommend this hotel. It offers extremely good quality accommodation, food and service at a very reasonable price.

I can safely say that after a very long drive and knowing I would miss dinner, the helpful patient and friendly welcome from the Bluebell reception lifted my despondent mood completely.

Nothing was too much trouble, the room large,comfortable,well-equipped and stylish and the room service even very late at night was homely and delicious.

As a resort owner and constant traveller I can only say there are many 5-Star Hotel Groups who could learn some lessons in Neath.

Room Tip: Too late to see swimming pool etc so tried not to rate them.

We stayed at The Bluebell Hotel for 2 days. The hotel is fantastic and all the staff are warm, welcoming and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. The decor is very modern and we even had a television in the bathroom, what a luxury. We ate in La Mancha, the adjacent restaurant and the food was of a very high standard and the staff again are very welcoming and friendly. A first class hotel and we will definately be going back. Highly recommend The Bluebell Hotel.

Room Tip: if you can afford it, book a suite.

We stayed, along with all of our immediate family, at The Bluebell Hotel for 2 days and also held our wedding celebrations there. The Hotel were absolutely fantastic and all staff went out of their way to make us feel fantastic and to meet the needs of our multi-generational family group including a disabled guest.
The accommodation was great - rooms we're clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. The food was incredible and the service was impeccable.
Highly recommended and extremely good value.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for his birthday weekend and I must say, I was so impressed! What an absolutely beautiful hotel... It was so well decorated, modern and contemporary yet still warm and inviting. The room was spotless and had a huge comfy bed (the comfiest bed me and my boyfriend have ever slept in), the bathroom was pure luxury (there was even a television by the bath!!), breakfast in the morning wasn't self service buffet style which was a huge plus for us as so many hotels are doing it now, and the staff overall were really friendly.

The only downside to this hotel was the limited parking, although we were lucky enough to get a space, some guests ended up parking on the pavement. And breakfast in the morning could have been served a little quicker, though when it arrived it was delicious!

Overall great value for money, we had a wonderful time and I would definitely book to go back again in the near future. Thank you bluebell hotel :)
