Spent the weekend of 22nd February here as we were attending a family wedding in the area.Checked in after the wedding reception, about 5pm but we were able to leave our overnight bags in a secure locked area here beforehand.Didn't realise there is no lift here, however the three less mobile members of our party were promptly allocated ground floor rooms. In saying that ,it is not high rise, there are rooms on first floor and ground floor but if stairs are a problem definately book the ground floor. The welcome from reception staff was genuine and warm. The rooms were very comfortable (although the heating controls took some adjusting...firstly blowing cold air then it was too hot) we did sort it out though. The beds are of ample size and the flat screen TV was excellent.Plenty of dispensing shower gel & soap in the bathroom which had a bath with overhead shower.Fluffy soft towels...what more could you want?We had the all you could eat breakfast at £8.25 per person and it was delicious. This was served in the bar/restaurant situated right next door.Would definately stay here again if in the area.It was a very busy weekend ...lots of French people staying for the rugby international but we weren't disturbed and staff and comfort of this hotel is very good.

Room Tip: No lift here so any mobility problems request ground floor.

Have stayed at this Premier on quite a few occasions, the most recent being the weekend of 15th Feb for family and friends celebrations. Receptionists are always welcoming and friendly. Check in is easy and speedy. Comfortable rooms and adequate bathrooms. I never feel that asking for anything, pillows, blankets, towels etc is a problem. Loved the huge flat screen tv, not that we had time to watch it!
The all you can eat breakfast is fab with plenty of choice. You order your cooked meal so it's nice and fresh.
This Premier is ideally situated for when we need to visit family so will be staying again soon.
My only gripe is the toilet paper! Why can't it be on a roll instead of the dispenser that let's you get one sheet at a time or dispenses a handful!! I'm sure it's not just this hotel, but drives me nuts!!

i have just returned from a 2 night stay, the hotel itself was very clean, the reception staff were very friendly and we found the location useful as there was an asda litrally opposite along with a dominoes pizza and petrol station etc.
my only complaint was the heating in the room, it was like a sauna and it diddnt seem to be controlled by the controll system on the wall. we ended up turning the heating completly off only to find it kept switching itself back on again throughout the night hence we were up and down all night switching it off as the room was unbearble, we did open the window but the noise of people leaving the resturant also got annoying.
its a shame as cleanliness and the politness of all the staff was probably one of the best i have seen in a Premier inn, but the heating system in the room kept us awake throughout both nights we stayed.

Room Tip: Check your heating/cooling system is working as soon as you check into your room

Stayed here for one night. The staff were really friendly. Rooms were lovely and spacious with comfy beds and great shower in the bathroom. The Brewers Fayre next door was handy for nice food and a drink in the evening. Hotel easily foundon way out of Aberdare.

The place was understaffed therefore unacceptable waits had to be endured. The heating did not work in the room nor did the desk light. The room was noisy due to adjacent plumbing system. No refund could be asked for.

I stayed for one night with a friend and the hotel was good for a budget hotel. We only paid £29 for the room. The room was spacious with a double bed and a single bed. It was clean and tidy and the bathroom functional. There was an issue with the heating system making noises throughout the night but it didn't bother us that much. We paid £8.25 for all you can eat breakfast the next morning which we thought was good value. The cooked breakfast had to be ordered which we liked because it was freshly cooked instead of sitting under the heated lights as you would usually find. The continental selection wasn't vast but adequate. Would definitely visit again if needed a one night hotel stay for a cheap price.

We made a quick trip to Aberdare and needed to stay for the night. The reception staff were friendly and informative and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. Great value for money. I'd stay there again.
