Set in a wonderful location with a warm welcome and such peace...only the morning chorus and bleating sheep around us. Great breakfast and good rooms with los of hot water for weary walkers like us.

This B&B is run by Karen and Paul Bell who could not be more gracious- they are friendly and funny and kind and looked after us with great care. Their B&B is lovingly cared for and gorgeous, perched on a hill above the Offa's Dyke Path looking out over the hills towards White Castle. Great food, uninterrupted quiet in a tiny village. THe Hunter's Moon pub in the village is good fun too.

The old rectory is a lovely B&B set in beautiful surroundings - be warned though if you're doing Offa's dyke South to North that the final push up the hill to the rectory is a killer! However on our arrival the hotelier did provide us with a couple of large glasses of iced squash which helped.

The room we stayed in was pleasant and quite traditionally decorated in keeping with the age of the building.

The real advantages of staying here are:
1) the B&B is right on the Offa's dyke path
2) the food is very reasonable (around £13 for two courses and £4 for packed lunch) and delicious.

We asked to have our luggage transferred to our next B&B which Mr Ball did for us at a reasonable cost. He proved to be an amusing and affable host while his wife was responsible for the lovely food.
