We stayed at Rowan cottage for 5 days and enjoyed every moment, Geraldine was attentive and went beyond the norm. Much to do in these lovely parts; long walks in Brecon, golf at Raglan Park, Spa at the renowned Roman Baths, and local museums rich in history. Definitely a place to visit at least once a year. A big thank you, Geraldine!

Spent the August bank holiday at Pentre Farm and I was extremely pleased. The host went above and beyond the call of a holiday home owner and made my partner and I feel very welcomed.
Can't find one fault and will be back next time in the area!

Room Tip: All of the cottages are equally beautiful so just choose one which will suit the occasion & size...

Had another lovely holiday in Cedar cottage with views directly to the pond which was glorious at this time of year-Geraldine has worked hard to encourage the perfect habitat for all things nature. Our two daughters aged 7 and 4 years enjoyed catching tadpoles and butterflies as well as watching the family of ducks, and spotting owls, rabbits, foxes and squirrels. Pentre Farm is situated in the most wonderful countryside located close to the beautiful village of Usk which has some great wee restaurants-we found the Olway Inn in Chepstow Road to be exceptionally good.
All in all another fab holiday thanks to Usk Country Cottages.
We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

We booked two cottages at Pentre Farm (Oak and Rowan) to accommodate family for my sons Wedding in Usk / LLandenny. We stayed a week and wish it was longer. Planning to go back already. From the booking and organisation right through to arrival we were well accommodated. The approach was stunning and the views spectacular but the cottage was even better. Geraldine and Howard were wonderful hosts and went the extra mile for us on many occasions even a lift into Usk to collect our cars after the wedding not to mention freshly dug new potatoes gifted to us which were fab. The accommodation is well kitted out and we didn't miss a thing. The cottages are situated about 2 miles from the nearest pub so a car is a must, but if you're a walker you will not be disappointed with your surroundings. Mobile signal is not great but with free Wi-Fi and a house phone in each cottage you won't miss it. Sitting out on the deck with a glass of wine and listening to the water flowing in the well maintained and well stocked pond and garden was delightful, The cottages were clean and luxurious, beds were comfortable and the whole family were impressed by everything. I don't have a single negative thing to say except I hope they're not fully booked next time we want to go as a result of their high standards.

Just returned from spending 4 days at Rowen Cottage and had a wonderful time. It is situated in a peaceful location but not too far from all the local sites.
Rowan Cottage is a barn conversion that was recently refurbished to a very high standard with 2 en suite bedrooms and kitchen / living room. It was home from home and everything you needed including a washing machine.
The proprietors Geraldine and Howard go beyond the call of duty to make sure you are happy including avoiding a catastrophe when we ran out of ketchup and the kids were distraught! They lent us a bottle.
Would definitely return in the future.

Great location for our daughters wedding. Peaceful, relaxing and great for photographs and a leisurely journey to the church and the beautiful village of Usk. Geraldine was the perfect host and nothing was too much trouble she even produced some lovely wedding decorations for our arrival at the cottage. We were a large party with people coming and going all week prior to the wedding but this was no problem and the cottages were perfect in every way, especially for my elderly mother, it was truly home from home.

Around 19 friends and family had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful farm settings for a family wedding in Usk. Geraldine the owner could not have been more helpful and even organised hairdressers and taxis for us (we got a puncture, and Geraldine even offered to sort this for us). Each room was tastefully decorated, clean and had everything you could need. There were fantastic views and some lovely walks. I would stay here again without hesitation.
