We booked this trip months ago after reading 5-start review after 5-star review - and were so happy we did. This trip was hands down one of our absolute favourites. The rental itself is modest but immaculately clean. You have everything you need and nothing that you don't.

What really sets Bay View apart though is the amazing outdoor space and of course, Charlie, our host. We loved that Bay View was centrally located in the Exumas. Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world were just a short drive away. It was also mega convenient to have a rental car and boat (yes, boat!) that we could use (you'll definitely need a rental car while you are there!).

Just a few small things to note about the gorgeous Exuma Cays.

- The bugs are bad. Bring mosquito repellant and citronella. Thank me later.
- The Bahama's are a bit expensive. Everything has to be imported so expect to spend about 15% more for dinners out, groceries and alcohol.
- The beaches and wildlife are bar none. Now that we found Exuma, we'll never go to another island in the Caribbean again.
- Exumians are some of the kindest people around. We felt safe and at home during our entire trip.
- There isn't much of a nightlife. Exuma is the perfect place to relax, but you won't find a crazy nightlife here.

If you are waiting to book a trip to the Exumas or to Bay View, just do it, you won't regret it. Happy trails!

“Amazing place!”

My family stayed at both Villa #1 and Villa #2 from July 20-27, 2017. The units exceeded our expectations and the views, were like nothing we've ever seen. Both units were identical and fully equipped with everything you would need for a relaxing stay. We had most of our meals at the rental, and the kitchen had everything we needed, pots, pans, spices, you name it.
3 kayaks (2 single and 1 double) are also provided with the units, we did a lot of kayaking over to Man of War Cay. At low tide miles of baby powder white sand emerges and every day we would make sure to explore and "play in our sandbar." Our sons ages 10 & 7 loved having this piece of paradise to ourselves.
We also spent a lot of time at the pavilion, which has picnic table, loungers, a hammock and lots of space to sit and watch the water. We saw "Sherman" the sea turtle that lives in the beach area, a nurse shark, stingray, and dolphins off the pavilion. Truly a magical place. At night sitting out on the patio we could see stars for miles, and even saw the Milky Way. There is no light pollution so it is a star gazers paradise! We would strongly recommend Bay View Vacation Rentals and hope to be back next year ourselves!

“Hidden Gem in Exuma”
Reviewed July 20, 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Thank you Charlie for everything! This house is a family friendly duplex, and we stayed on one side. The turquoise water is dazzling. There is a sand bar that you can sit on during low tide, along with a small beach. The house is spotless, and Charlie makes sure that all of his guests are looked after---he even brought over fish that he had filleted for us one night. In the cupboards are some provisions such as salt and pepper, or whatever dry goods are left by other guests. We left our provisions for other people to enjoy. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We will definitely be coming back!

“Paradise - Perfect Vacation”

Wow - where do I even being? Booking online you never know exactly what you are going to find when you arrive. WOW is an understatement. We were met by Charlie at the airport to take us to the house. He graciously stopped at several stores for us to get some food/drinks to hold us over, reminding us to take our time as we were now on "Island Time". When we arrived at the house, we were in awe. The views are beyond spectacular... honestly pictures do not begin to show the beauty. The house was spotless, better than any hotel I have stayed in the US. The house has ever necessity you could possibly need for the week. Beds, linens, towels, and anything else you can imagine were all these for you use. We used the kayaks almost every day to to explore. We were lucky to see Sherman the local sea turtle daily, sharks daily, and several dolphins jumping along side a boat in front of the home. Charlie was beyond helpful and always just a stones throw away to answer any questions. This was the best vacation our family has ever had and we have already booked for 2018.
