“An excellent vacation spot for families with young children”

We had the most fantastic family vacation at Nemo House! The house is situated right on the beach. The sand is unbelievably soft and the water is the most incredible shade of turquoise. The house itself was impeccably clean and welcoming. It had practically every amenity you would ever need, including a travel crib, high chair and small picnic table which was perfect as we were traveling with two young children (age 3 years and 8 months). Furthermore, the close proximity of the house to the beach, the covered porch and endless supply of beach toys made for an easy and enjoyable stay with small kids. The beach was very quiet with the occasional friendly vacationer walking by. We felt very safe throughout our entire stay on the island. We also arranged two boat excursions, one with Brian and the other with Sugar (Nemo House has a very helpful information book with contact info for these tours) - both were excellent and highly recommended. Our three year old absolutely LOVED seeing the sea turtles, star fish and running around on the sand bars and beaches - was definitely a highlight of the trip. Another highlight would be the steel drum lesson (by Michael Hoyte, contact info also available at the beach house) which was a unique and fun experience, enjoyed by our entire family.
Nemo House was the ideal vacation spot for our family. We very much hope to return again!

Management Response
Feb 27, 2015
We are happy that you and your family had a great time. We ensure that the house is child friendly with enough beach toys and play table etc. to make a family vacation easier. We think the best thing for a family is to be able to watch your kids a mere 50 feet away playing on the beach, while you sip coffee in the morning on the porch ....dressed in pajamas.

“Everything a person needs to enjoys their holiday”
Reviewed January 31, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

Our stay at Nemo House was so relaxing. It's a really nice beach front house with beautiful scenery. Esther was good at answering our questions and I enjoyed all the people that she put us in touch with for activities. Sugar Tours was fantastic and enjoyed watching him spear fish for lunch on the beach. The steel drum lessons were great and Brian's boat tour was fun too!

I loved my stay and would definitely go again.

“Birthday Get Away”
Reviewed January 28, 2015 for a stay in January 2015

What a great place to unwind and enjoy each others company. It was fun to explore this beautiful island and was always great to get back to enjoy the wonderful beach and comfort of the house.

There were plenty of things to see and do. We did 2 boat tours, visited a museum and heritage sites, had dinner out in Georgetown which had live entertainment and dancing, found Tropic of Cancer beach, had lunch at Santana's and got desert at Mom's Bakery. A steel drum lesson was over the top fun! We spent some time visiting Stocking island too.
The water was beautiful and snorkelling a must! There were Starfish, Crabs, Iguana's, Swimming Pigs, Stingrays, Green Turtles and tonnes of shells.

Nemo House has it all. We virtually had the best beach I have ever seen to ourselves!
It has all the comforts of home plus the comforts of the Bahama climate.
I was sorry to say goodbye and hope to return again one day.

Nemo house was amazing!! We vacationed the second week of November and the weather was great. The airport was only 10 mins away. The residents of Exuma were incredibly nice. The property outstanding: very private beech, turquoise water fabulous for swimming and the house itself gorgeous with all the amenities you could think of and an infinity kitchen (what a view). You can have a very private relaxing holiday but there is also lots to do on this beautiful island: snorkelling, boating, restaurants, etc.

“Just what I was looking for..”
Reviewed November 23, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

If you are searching for island breezes, perfect beaches, convenience, beautiful accommodations and privacy in paradise; Nemo house is the place to be. Firstly, the flight to Great Exuma was convenient and hastle free. The car rental was steps away and the house easy to get to and less than 10 minutes from the airport! Once at Nemo house, you are swept into the rhythym of the ocean breezes just steps from your covered porch.
The villa is beautiful with all modern appliances, internet, ensuites for all four bedrooms. This was a girlfriends vacation where we all took turns drumming up tropical drinks, going for long walks on the beach and reconnecting with the stars at night. Equally fun was our trips to town for groceries, meeting "Ron the butcher" and of course, the amazing boat day trip with Sugar Adventures. I have travelled to several caribbean islands and I must say, this vacation (the house, the beach, the island) was just what I was seaching for. I can't wait to go back.

“The Best”
Reviewed November 20, 2014 for a stay in November 2014

This is a beyond-fabulous spot. No need for a pool the warm sea water is so close, so clean and so calm. Spent hours in it - and it's right in front of the house. Great white sand beach walking - saw three other people on it in three days! Wonderful gentle breezes and large covered porch made eating in front of the sea a daily one activity. House is magnificent with very large bedroom suites and own ensuites and all very new and in pristine shape. Great WIFI and even a printer. Kitchen is to die for large and totally equipped - 2 sinks, 2 fridges, endless countertop - five women could make different dishes in it simultaneously! Exuma Island is small, rural and very laid back but had all the food and wine/liquor we needed as well as a few gift and touring shops. Felt completely safe. A very, very nice experience.
