This is the #1 value for money restaurant we visited for lunch on our trip. We liked it so much I think we went three times (at that involved swimming across a little channel!) The owners are a lovely South African couple, and the servers are friendly and helpful. The food is really very good, my wife was positively addicted to their Caesar salad. The view from the restaurant deck is stunning, gorgeous sailboats in a crystal clear harbor. You can ask the water taxi to drop you off at their dock if you don't feel like making the trek there from Chat 'n Chill on foot (or swimming). You do youself a disservice if you miss this spot!
It's right next to Chat N Chill, so it's an easy restaurant to miss. Located slightly up on a hill, it serves as the restaurant for a small boutique resort, St. Francis. The restaurant has mainly outside seating overlooking the harbour. Beautiful and a great place to relax while your meal is being prepared.
The food is absolutely awesome! We each had something different. The tuna wrap was cooked to order (medium), and my shrimp wrap was great. Chicken ceasar salad got great reviews as did the cracked conch.
Be sure to ask the owner, Jill, if you can go up their path and to the other side of the island (just a short walk) to see a nearly deserted beach. Clear water, some waves and beautiful sand. Truly a GORGEOUS beach on Stocking Island!
We had a very good lunch at St Frances during our recent trip. The restaurant is very quiet and offers a vast selection of options for lunch. The staff was very friendly and the view from the patio was amazing.
We stopped here for lunch on our rented boat from Minn's. It was perfect timing as there was a light rain falling and the clouds were dark. By the time we finished lunch, it had cleared up and we were on our way for a fun day. This place hit the spot - we had burgers and sandwiches all around. The food was good and so were the drinks, although the drinks were a bit pricier than other places. We sat on the patio and got a little wet as the cover did not stop all the rain. The patio fans were not working which would have provided a welcome breeze and also would have helped keep the mosquitoes at bay. Overall a good lunch and we enjoyed the view of the marina.
