Description: The Peace and Planty Hotel has a restaurant inside. If you look at some of the hotel reviews, you willsee they are actually for the restaurant. I think you should seperate them and as I need to write a food review, but didn't stay there.

We didn't stay here, but ate at P&P on a couple of evenings. Food was always fine, it was the quiet season though, so only a few diners in the restaurant. Our only issue was all the flies flying about the place....would have been better had the windows been shut. Most other places on Exuma controlled the insects with candles but not here.

Go see Lerman for a pre-dinner drink. Fantatsic views of harbor in quaint old Georgetown locale.

Unless you are a regular, prepare to be treated poorly. It's a shame, because this used to be a good spot (though the food has always been just okay). If you are in town, stop in to snap a pic at their tiled wall of the islands. But don't stay to eat unless you like bad food and worse service.

We went here by chance, but the food was really great. Service was slow when we first got there, and I was starting to think we made a mistake, but then all of a sudden we had a waitress and drinks and ordered and all was well. Drinks were great, the food was great (panfried tuna and blackened mahi with veggies and scalloped potatoes). For dessert we had chocolate pineapple upside down cake which was nothing to write home about, but the conch fritters were really good. All in all, we would definitely go back. This is a nicer restaurant- indoors, part of a hotel, slightly fancier than the other local restaurants. The prices are also a bit higher as well, but I would say it was worth it.

The P & P is special to the island history and is a great place to stop for drinks. Doc (resident bartender for 25+ years) is the Dr. of Libation and Annette and Garfield are awesome bartenders too. Food here is good, drinks are better and the service and people are fabulous.
