Breakfast patchy. Limp toast and soggy bacon. Unripe pineapple in the fruit plate. Lunch and dinner excellent, when the new chef was on duty. Conch fritters a bit doughy. Blackened red snapper, plantains and a side of peas and rice, nice and juicy and authentically Bahamian, but not locally priced. Dinner for two is well over $100.

The Palapa Grill at Grand Isle has had a minor facelift and it continues to provide excellent food of generous portions. One of our favourite stops. Menu has been extended slightly, the service is as good as ever, the setting and ambience is perfect. Enjoyed a Tuesday evening by the pool listening to a local Rake and Scrape band.

Lunch was excellent. Blackened grouper sandwich could not have been better. Shrimp wraps excellent also. Nice poolside setting with bay in the background.

I have been coming to Exuma for 23 years. On Friday evening to celebrate my birthday, we decided to try Palapa Grill. Our server Talia was friendly and knowledgeable. The service was the fastest I have ever experienced on the island. Food was delightful and well presented. Can't wait to return.

We've been in Great Exuma for a week and our dinner last night at The Palapa Grill was fantastic. The lobster bisque and crab cake apps were so tasty..and big portions! Also the salmon bread with capers..yummmmy! I ordered the chicken with veggies lyonaisse; chicken was moist and flavorful, and served on a bed of asparagus, thinly sliced potatoes and carrots that were perfectly sauteed! My husband ordered the blackened snapper and it was delicious. Also, we were there for the bartender's competition and were fortunate to sample quite a variety of tasty tropical drinks! You get a lot with your meal (bread, water and water refills, and a very romantic atmosphere); both food and service outstanding. Highly recommended.
