Owner description: No. 1 swimming pigs tour in the Bahamas! We proudly try to give you the best boat tours in Exuma. Fun, professional, amazing, and in a premium setting with all the frills. Please note, we are Exuma Water Sports, NOT Exuma Water Tours.

On 16 August, we opted for Ray’s half-day tour and it was without a doubt worth every penny and minute spent! With the soul of the Bahamas in his blood, Ray was a natural guide, expertly piloting his boat while delivering a visually stunning, informative, and laid-back tour.

Over the course of four hours, we made multiple stops to admire the unmatched beauty of the region, visit the pigs and the iguanas, and snorkel the reefs. These activities are all as endearing as you might imagine, and we can vouch that the other reviewers’ enthusiasm is wholly warranted: if you do one activity while visiting Exuma, we highly recommend this be it. You will not be disappointed but you will leave with amazing memories.

The boat was uncovered that day, so we were glad to bring hats and dry-fit clothes to combat the sun. Regardless, bringing extra sun block is essential, as is remembering to re-apply it, because you’ll be in the direct sun for hours and hopping in and out of the water. Ray provided some light snacks and refreshments to which you could help yourself anytime, but if you need to eat something more substantial than some biscuits over the course of four hours, you’ll want to bring some extra food. Finally, you can bring your own snorkel gear but keep in mind there is limited storage on the boat, so leave at least your fins at home. In addition to offering full snorkeling gear, Ray also provides pool noodles to help you stay afloat when snorkeling, which was a godsend for a buoyantly-challenged person like me.

Another accessory I cannot recommend enough is a waterproof bag/case for your camera: it lets you use your camera worry-free in and around the water. Being able to splash around with the pigs and capture the stunning underwater beauty of the reef was a real treat.

To summarize, if you don’t take Ray’s tour, you’ll miss out on the best of what the region (or at least Exuma) has to offer.

My husband and I booked this trip and couldn't tell you how HAPPY we were that we did this! You have GOT TO book a trip through this company, either the jetski excursion or the boat excursion, it was absolutely the most amazing thing on this planet. We've been to numerous Caribbean islands and Exuma is by far, the most spectacular place we've ever seen. Justin is the tour guide and is the neatest, most knowledgable and down right FUN person to take you on this excursion. Justin, you are the BOMB and made our trip hands down, the most memorable vacation ever!!!!!!!

We had a completely different experience than anticipated after reading the reviews. We booked the all day trip the following morning with the help of our hotel. The next morning an hour before pickup we received a call saying that the trip had been canceled. We were given the choice to do the half day trip that afternoon instead. Given the amount of time we had available on the island we accepted. This trip was cancelled also as we got close to pick up that day but we could take the half day trip the following morning. Fine. This also got cancelled and we were moved to the afternoon trip again only to be eventually told after three days of trying we could not go! We wasted precious amount of our vacation waiting and hoping to go. My advice, when your ranked number one you have nothing to gain. Go with the groups who are striving to be number one. These guys suck!

Hi DougM, this is Ray, the owner and captain of Exuma Water Sports. After just reading a review in tripadvisor written by you, I would like to let you know what happened. Initially, your hotel concierge contacted us to book you guys but we were already full. So they apparently booked you for a different day tour with another company, not us - Exuma Water Sports. They are the ones that canceled you an hour before, not us. We completed our trip and never canceled anyone or any full day tour. When you guys were canceled, your hotel's concierge contacted us to try and get you on another tour with us. They tried to book you with us on the next day on our 1/2 day tour which was totally booked up already. We later had 2 cancelations for that morning tour from another hotel, so we thought we could then accommodate you guys, but in the meantime, that hotel rebooked the 2 who had canceled and did not notify us until a bit later on. As you guys were the last ones booked, we had to try and move you to the afternoon 1/2 day tour. We notified the concierge well in advance. We need a minimum of 8 guests to make a tour, and with you guys, we only had a total of five so it was canceled. Had I known of the situation at the time, I would have still taken out you guys that afternoon just to try and make everyone happy, but I did not know until too late that afternoon. I sent a message to say that I would take you guys the next day, but they said you were leaving. Anyway, I do feel sorry for you guys and if it helps, the next time you come to Exuma, we will take you out complimentary!
Regards, Ray

My husband and I booked a half day tour with Exuma Water Sports while in Great Exuma and had the BEST time!! Rey & Justin are awesome tour guides and know the islands so well. From the swimming pigs, to feeding iguanas, the snorkeling, picking up starfish, etc- the list goes on- awesome tour and wish we had more time on the island to do more of the tours they offer! We will be back!!! Thanks so much guys!!

That says it all. Our 19 year old son wanted a break from Mom and Dad, so he booked the Wave Runner tour with Justin. He loved it so much he went back, this time with Dad in tow. We loved it and I didn't fall off! We then went back as a family for the half day boat tour. Again Ray and Justin did a wonderful job.

Their is a lot of overlap between the Wave Runner tour and the half day boat tour. They both do swimming pigs, Lee Stocking etc. The boat tour adds the iguanas and snorkeling. But driving your own Wave Runner versus enjoying the boat ride makes them both worthwhile.

Highly recommended, we will return whenever we are on the island.
