The drive there is long but very interesting - banana trees and citrus fruit trees. The cave is huge but be careful of wasps.

Giant cave with opening in the ceiling where light comes thru. The Eleutheran Adventurers crashed near here and lived and worshiped in this cave and then moved to Spanish Wells. They have done archaeological digs here and gone back many thousands of years to find the bones of small indians that occupied the area. A man named Mr. Jock Morgan in Spanish Wells was in charge of the dig and is very knowledgeable if you look him up there.

Great to visit the location of the landing place of the Eleutheran Adventurers.

I am glad we went. The beach next to the cave is beautiful and has a small bit of very shallow reef you can snorkel. Going there was kind of a way to break up a day of relaxing and reading.

There's a bit of history involved with Preacher's Cave, and can be appreciated by those who know they story. The Cave is located deep into the woods, and bug spray is even more useful here than on other parts of the island. There's not a lot to explore so the drive there will probably be longer than the time spent at the Cave.
